I don't have any plans to implement playing two paths simultaneously, but there should be places where the paths can be switched. More than likely, if one switches from one path to the other, I will make it possible to play the new path from its own beginning, so that events aren't "lost." I have to see what the best way to accomplish this is so that it makes sense to do it.
the easiest to switch to is the wife cheating (activated by going into the save file) and you can also activate the hubby cheating in this way aswell

In testing, I have dropped Satisfaction all the way down to 0 and then brought it back up into the 30s and 40s (at which point I stopped testing, I could have continued to go higher). It just takes a lot of patience to do that. It's better to keep her satisfied to begin with. Don't let it get too low (unless you want to go for that). Keep an eye on her Arousal and try to make her cum. These are the two main hints I can give you.



Unfortunately, that's just not possible. It's difficult to find videos of porn stars doing everyday tasks like cooking or working on a laptop or grocery shopping. Sure, I can find all of the sex scenes I want, but I'm not interested in building a game that is so limited in that way.

I would implement swinging as an introduction to an option to open their relationship (or not) where they could fuck on the side if there is consent of both husband and wife, same as doing mmf, mff and othe kind of group sex, but it's your game so you develop it however you want.

As for specific actress for every woman character, i understand difficulties with finding pics for some mundane everyday activities, but you could implement and tie one actress to one character and limit it to sex scenes only, some other html devs did that for immersion sake, but i get you feal there are limitations when it comes to that.

There is not much you can do to keep her arousal down either, as it naturally builds through a variety of encounters.

Two weeks in (probably the same occurs day 1): Go all out. Literally gave her 40-50 orgasms, using the first 10-20 to drop the desire stat to zero. Then 30 more orgasms at zero to see how far the needle would move. > Sleep.

Next day: Satisfaction rating at 62. lol. One full point gained.

Also to note: After a number of orgasms, wife gets an orgasm every "lick" basically, which means you have to bypass the regular menu. If you give her an orgasm and then attempt sex at this point, she'll still stop you since she's not at the threshold yet for intercourse (which tends to be above 75 or so). After 1-2 orgasms, you might want to modify that default code so that the wife doesn't stop you upon selecting intercourse if she's below 75 on the orgasm meter. Theoretically, IRL she'd probably be pretty wet by then. lol.

Just my honest feedback (as someone who actually wants the wife to cheat). I could see it being frustrating for players who prefer an MC that can get the job done with reasonable effort.

The "mutually exclusive" part is probably not as "mutualy exclusive as it may appear at this point, honestly. For me to write/code it in "game" sense, I am thinking about the different paths in terms of what each is allowed to "do."

Basically, like this:
  • Faithful / "Make it work" : No other partners allowed, any other partner counts as "cheating"
  • Swinging / Swapping : Other partners are only allowed together, any other partner without the spouse counts as "cheating"
  • Open Marriage : Both spouses are allowed other partners, nothing counts as "cheating" (basically open consent from spouse, but there will occasionally be convos about it, like w/ Brian)
  • Cuckold / "Fuck other people" : Wife is allowed other partners, any other partner for husband counts as "cheating"
And before anyone says anything, I realize that these are not the technical IRL definitions of each of the relationship types, but this is just a game and it being oversimplified for game purposes.

That said, there is no reason why, for example, in the "open marriage" path, the two spouses might end up in a threesome together or even in a wife-swap situation. That's not currently in the game, but could easily happen. It just would only happen in that particular "direction," so a player on the open path might come across a wife swap scene, but a player on the swinging path would not be free to have an open relationship.

So basically the stat changes occur at midnight (or as soon as a scene ends if you are in the middle of one at midnght.

If the husband has made the wife cum that day, all negative effects that would normally occur either don't occur at all or are very muted. Under normal circumstances, if she has not cum with the husband, it goes down by 1 Satisfaction point per 100 points of Arousal.

If the wife's Arousal is below 100, Satisfaction should go up by 2 points. (I will have to double-check this but I am 90% sure that's right. It's been a while since I coded that particulr function but I believe that is correct.)

Yes it can be tedious and grindy to get it done but it's possible. Not sure whether it's worth the effort to rewrite the code to make it easier to come back from 0. I'm describing a playthrough after two weeks, pleasing her each day (when possible) since day 1, with satisfaction sitting at 61. Then trying to raise that with multiple orgasms in a day.

After reading your reply, I just tried it again from the same save progression, from a friday through the weekend as an example. This is intended as a use-case scenario, employed in software development, to get a gauge on user experience from design.

Friday morning, Aug 25. Satisfaction at 62. Up from 61 after giving 40 orgasms the previous day (10 to get arousal back to 0. 30 after that to push & see how high satisfaction would raise).

From day start: Played through the entire day without spamming/cheating the game (i.e. don't knock on the bathroom door 3+ times at 8 pm. Don't spam the back button. Don't leave the bedroom & return multiple times to attempt to cheat a sex scene).

Fri morning: 7 am. Shower. Watch a video or do coffee. Go to work. Come home. Take her out to dinner. Watch a movie with her. Enter bedroom. Talk to her several times. Try to massage several times. Sleep after midnight when she's gone to bed. (No opportunity for sex).

Sat morning 7 am: Satisfaction still at 62. But arousal has already climbed back up in the 100s. Run through the day again. Trying every opportunity to speak with her. Helping with dinner, cleaning, etc. Knocking on the bathroom door only once each time she's in the bathroom. (Three attempts at different times of day). Finish all "speak with her" options in the living room & watch a movie with her. Initiate sex through "speak" option in bedroom. Massage (I spammed here).
Finally at 12:05 am Sun morning, an interactive sex scene triggered. The first one since Thursday night. By this time, satisfaction level dropped to 61 when the day turned over. Wife's arousal is at 200 by now. Give her 10 orgasms to get arousal from 200 to 0. Then 5 additional orgasms after that. Sleep.

What I'm trying to describe here is that even with extraneous effort that goes slightly beyond a reasonable playthrough, you cannot reasonably raise her satisfaction. At best, you can hover it at just above 60. I'm sure if you spammed the bathroom door 5x times or more daily to trigger sex interaction, pressed the back button multiple times to avoid any arousing "Meanwhile's", avoided selecting "Romance" tv shows to heighten arousal, etc, you can eventually climb her up higher. But it's essentially doing so by cheating the game in a very unnatural playthrough.

Even having to give the wife 8+ orgasms daily (6 just to bring arousal down from the natural progression to below 100, plus two more to attempt raising satisfaction level) is quite excessive for someone not playing obsessively to cheat the system.

I'm saying this not to be difficult, but to draw your attention to it.

I appreciate this quite a bit. As I have mentioned before, I am doing his on my own so the external perspective helps me out a lot.

I will keep your message in mind though to keep an eye as things continue to develop. My hope is that the same code will be better once the game is closer to completion. That said, I am not so stubborn as to stick with a failing system. If the new content doesn't add enough QOL to make the current model function better, I will figure out how to improve it.

I have just been recommending use of the Back and refresh methods to get the desired results for now. At this point, most of the "Romance" stuff is limited to a handful of repeatable daily options, with almost no "special" events. This is going to be changing to some degree with the next update. We'll see if the experience gets any better.

I've also noticed that you can go 3 days doing everything right (without cheating the game/spamming) without sex opportunities where her arousal goes from 0 to roughly 300, meaning about 15 orgasms required on the next opportunity before even a chance at gaining a point, so it can climb quite high without any fault to the player regarding neglect. (Daily events contribute to the arousal, but failed massage attempts to pop interactive sex are a real killer too, since they increase her arousal meter greatly without any release). I'd say such a situation should be tuned so that if the user is doing everything right like that, the expected end result should be that they can still null out her arousal meter after a lone orgasm or two, with an additional bringing bonus satisfaction points. Hopefully the other activities you've planned will contribute to that.

But yeah, I am trying to get content in as quickly as I can, but I am running Patreon content polls as one of the benefits there and have a relatively short update cycle (trying to stay on monthly update schedule). So the game is progressing quickly when it comes to some content, but my time is split between the QOL stuff like this and the path-related stuff (mostly NTR based on Patron poll results).

By the way, I will add one moment to the general basket that personally pisses me off in such games.

Too abrupt a start in all games where you have a bad relationship with your wife, the goal is usually to return to a normal relationship with your wife or go down the path of infidelity. But damn, it would be possible to at least try for decency.

Although, as they say, it's up to the author of the game to decide how his game and plot are built.

Definitely. Part of my point for showing that though was due to the fact that you can't even have the opportunity to make her cum once a day unless you're cheating the game a bit. So the points will invariably drop right now with no way to bring them back up without intense spamming. The best you can do is plateau with a little bit of spamming currently.

Though she was given orgasms in the shower multiple times at zero arousal, she was back past 100 arousal when the clock turned over, due to massages that failed to trigger sex scene. After midnight and after sleeping, the satisfaction level didn't raise at all. Likely due to having arousal over 100 before falling asleep.

From a player standpoint that should be a design bug, regardless of what the code was planned to do.

There is definitely a "bug" coming out of the shower sex where more is added to the Arousal than is intended. An easy fix, I just kept missing it. It's slightly different from the code used elsewhere, because I wanted to try a few different ways, and that one definitely is not working the way it's supposed to. (Not really a bug because it was intentional, in order to see what happened.)

The other possible design issue is the rate with which she accepts or rejects massages. This may be able to be adjusted somewhat.

Other than those two stat issues, though, I don't want to go too far in the opposite direction. I could easily have the player control both characters and have total control. But that's not the game I want to make.

I want there to be a level of uncertainty. I want the positive outcomes to be more frequent when the relationship is better and the negative outcomes to be more frequent when the relationship is worse. But I also want to recreate to the best of my ability the idea that sometimes, someone just isn't a good mood because they smelled something funny when they went to the store or they bit their tongue when they ate lunch. It might be my fault that my wife doesn't want to fuck me tonight, or it might be the mailman's fault for bringing that phone bill. Specifically NOT having full control, the outcome NOT being guaranteed, is one of the important elements of the game.

Finding the right balance is the key to a satisfying game. With each adjustment, each bit of feedback, I am getting closer. So thanks, again, for your comments. :)

TBF though, you're describing a situation where you are attempting to massage her. Her arousal is not "easily climb[ing] up again past 100," you're pushing it up there. So you are satisfying her early in the day and then teasing the hell out of her and sending her to bed horny (whether intentionally or not). You're not gonna lose more points for that, but you shouldn't be gaining them either. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

There's also the opposite side of the coin where she can bring her own arousal down as well. There are a number of masturbation scenes where this happens. When it does, if she brings her arousal down (or someone else does) on the same day that the husband makes her cum, then he gets "credit" for it. So it is somewhat balanced on the large scale.

I don't think I agree with that. It's not easy to satisfy her, but it's possible at the current time. And the path is by no means finished. As I have already noted, there is significant content planned for this next update. I believe that some small adjustments to how certain scenes are implemented will actually help significantly. For example, the last update I made a relatively small adjustment to the "Tell her about my day" conversation option and the results (at least in my testing) seem to be significant. Much closer to what I initially wanted.

So you are satisfying her early in the day and then teasing the hell out of her and sending her to bed horny (whether intentionally or not). There's also the opposite side of the coin where she can bring her own arousal down as well. There are a number of masturbation scenes where this happens. When it does, if she brings her arousal down (or someone else does) on the same day that the husband makes her cum, then he gets "credit" for it. So it is somewhat balanced on the large scale.



I don't think I agree with that. It's not easy to satisfy her, but it's possible at the current time. And the path is by no means finished. As I have already noted, there is significant content planned for this next update. I believe that some small adjustments to how certain scenes are implemented will actually help significantly. For example, the last update I made a relatively small adjustment to the "Tell her about my day" conversation option and the results (at least in my testing) seem to be significant. Much closer to what I initially wanted.
Let's agree to disagree on this. I'm only trying to help, really. I'm simply describing a play-through of what a user who is trying to raise the wife's satisfaction level will go through on a day to day basis. It's also not early in the day. It's 8:30 pm at the end of the shower sex where husband has brought the arousal meter back to zero, with attempt to initiate again in the bedroom two hours later, which any players looking to raise the wife's satisfaction would naturally attempt. Player scenarios are an important consideration in game design. They will naturally make those decisions and they don't know the ins and outs of your internal design. But I don't think you're seeing the forest from the trees from a player's standpoint.
It can be tough to see things that way as a programmer/designer, for sure. But understanding player experience is key.

I can't get the conversation to repair the marriage. She tells me we have a problem, I do the research, but I don't get an option to talk to her about it. Tried talking to her at dinner, on the couch, and in bed. Playing v0.1.2.

If you are not getting the option in the bedroom at night, you have not done enough research.
