Just gotta trial'n'error it. It seems to be random what gift exactly she'll want. Best way I've found is to just buy one of each item each time you can give her a gift and just proceed down the list, though this is really expensive to do.

It would usually mention a gift that she likes. It worked on the previous 8-27 build, but unsure if bugged in the 9-18 build.

If you really want to unlock stuff without using hackmode, the quickest way to do so is be a farmer and farm the heck out of the most expensive veggies (tomatoes).

I can't even use this hack mode, so what I'd like to do is know what they like about the gifts, e.g. maybe a list on the internet or something like that, so it's also worth it to buy the right thing. I just think the things are too expensive for so little money for getting the vegetables

The releases of the game includes a Hack Mode when you start a New Game



When they ask for Gift, they will mention what type of gift to give them. It can change at any time. You can buy the exact gift later.

Once you start farming Tomatoes, the money you get increases exponentially per day. This is why Farmer increasing crops by 1 literally is the quickest way to complete the game.
