Well even if they use porn models I just wish there was some varieties. O rly red, akira akimbo jimbo, corey mummy, chechik de cheeky chick... it gets old too fast. :( Look at selectacorp games, I think they hire models.
Pretty sure they just make more effort into dig up material not overused since before.

Also we have more porn now than ever, including sites where they can request scenes.

Shit they could pop on manyvids or a number of other sites and find models doing scenes. Sure a lot of them will lack sets like school/doctor office and the like but they could look harder or request stuff.

Having a game's name, "Home is where the whores is", written in bad English is never a good start. The correct statement, by the way, is "Home is where the whores are".
In my years frequenting this forum I have seen many abominations and crimes against humanity. That said, the instant I saw the thread title I jumped to correct it - and I wasn't the first.

F95zone:
* Incest = Hmm.
* Hand-holding = Whoa!
* Bad grammar in the title = Hold my beer, I got this.

Are you sure? Wiki and linked sources say: "The term Engrish first appears as a mispronunciation of the word English in the 1940s, but it was not until the 1980s that it began to be used as a byname for defective Asian English." Seems "Runglish" is the Russian version.

(And to the dev, good luck with your game~ May want to change the name, though, just so people focus on the game and not the name. Some may think MTL is going to be inside, and avoid it without ever checking it out.)
i'd say.. dev ! keep the title as it is. it fit well with your nickname :D

ps : this is actually a good thing i say, i m not being bad at all :)

That grammar, though...

but then it would have been "Home is where the whore is"

p.s. I like the models used, but that's probably because I am into mature ladies :)
no joke... the end of the title itself make me struggle to breath , even tho i m a professional in ENGRISH...

It's . . .It's a pun you guys. As mentioned above it's a play on "home is where the hearth is". And it's "whores" not "whore" because there are 2 of them. . . Not all artists are appreciated in their own time I guess lol.

The small images for all the housing area is slightly odd compared to the large images for everything that happens.

The English is okay, however it has a lot of bad spelling and grammar but better than 50% of translated games.

Some story beats don't make sense, like the mother's phone calls then the divorce and then not a good parent part. The end part kind of breaks the earlier parts story wise.

Just a batch of little inconsistencies.

Some things don't have an end trigger, like the first night the mom stays you can see her in the bathroom at night or morn, same with sister in her room.

So far this game is extremely linear. The major "plot" is Wake up, kitchen, hallway, bedroom. Tiny things may happen in bathroom or sister's room. It really could have done without giving the player any "choice".

First oral with Mom has MC saying her line.

Post First Anal Brett takes MC's line.

I think this is supposed to be complete? Since it mentions that it leads into the next game.

I think the main problem is that Whores is for plural, while Is mainly gets used for singular. So grammatically it would be Whore (singular) or Are (plural). Also the idiom is "Home is where the heart is" not "hearth".

This is a fair criticism, and one I would have shared before I started to make a game of my own. The reason you see the same models a lot is simple. It gives you options. Unless a girl has done a lot of work for one of the big companies all her content is likely to be straight forward sex with little or no context around it. You can use girls like that but the images themselves don't lend themselves to story.

You could of course pay a girl to do shoots for you but that costs money and time which not everyone that makes these games has in abundance.

In the main game I'm making I'm trying to have a mix of popular girls and less popular girls. I've ended up having to not use a bunch of girls I liked cause there just wasn’t enough stuff out there of them.

Like I said it is a valid criticism but for practical reasons most devs choose to go with it in the interest of saving time and resources.

I know that won't change your mind on the issue but hopefully you now at least understand the reasoning behind it. Always remember that 90% of people making things on this site do it as a hobby that they might make a little extra cash of. It’s a very small number of people that can really dedicate a ton of time and resources to these games.

Bad grammar usually gets under my skin in the worst kind of way. But I've learned to keep it to myself for the most part, because correcting anyone's grammar tends not to make them like being around you. :)

In this case, though, I'm not even remotely bothered. Yes, the grammar is wrong, but it is wrong for a reason. And that makes all the difference. Good luck with your big project, AmusingOddity -- I for one am looking forward to seeing it!

Thanks bud. I appreciate it. I know bad grammar can bother people, I intend on reaching out for poof readers before I publish Sluttown. I'm dyslexic and a big part of the reason I'm putting out these games at all is to see how people would react to my writing.

I think maybe the name bothers people cause the phrase "home is where the hearth/heart is" isn't as well known as I thought it was?
