Hi, this a late introduction. I've been into visual novels for awhile, having played officially and fan translated ones, as well as using Sugoi Translator for those that have not been translated. I'm into extracting data from VNs as well and will hopefully be able to find help and program suggestions to help with some issues I've run into (like to accurately merge a face image with a body image).
