[v0.1 Beta] Game looks amazing but starting with some technical platforming is not the way to go imo.

Helo, damn, it's been a while
Gotta be honest people, I haven't been able to focus on the game as much as I would like all this time. Various reasons, less free time, other personal stuff and some normal burnout. Thank you for still being here though

I don't know exactly how I want to approach the development at this point. One thing's for sure, I'll release the latest build for free, maybe this week if I get to do it
Maybe I need to think about some radical changes about the game and it's goals. I thought I got it under control with all the systems and stuff, but as soon as I got less free time and problems appeared...
:frame_1_delay1s:

I most probably stay quiet for some more time, until I get more free time and a clear idea on how to approach this

This is the last thing he said on Discord

Alright so I am feeling generous so here's the google drive for the latest version of the game. This is a beta build so their will be bugs in it that can't be fixed due to currently no development on the game as of yet. So if you find a bug you can report it in bugs-and-glitches but if you see that it has been posted already don't post yours so if development does start again it'll be easier to read through. This is the unofficial release and will eventually get taken down either once Berry starts redeveloping the game, or he asks me to. Changelog: - New Scene: A time with Yuikumo (It's in the collectibles screen) - Minor combat tweaks - Minor bug fixes Just a reminder to be patient and have hopes that Berry will eventually return to this game. This is the latest version on Patreon so everything is up to date in terms of what he has released publicly. And uhhh.... Here's the link!

Update release on Discord.

Anyone else getting Yandere Sim vibes from this or is it just me?
I read the mission statement on the first post and my immediate thought was "This isn't going to get 1% of the planned features lol"

The scope is so big, it's like "Yes, I a single person am going to create a AAA game by myself in my basement, trust me guys". This is something that happens in the indie space a lot though. Someone builds a tiny tech demo of a game that has more features than a single person could ever properly flesh out and says " trust me guys, this will be the greatest game ever made"

The nice part about it is that the dev is being ethical and not charging people after he realized that he set himself up for 15 years of work. Yandev did some really weird shit and spent like literally 100x more time telling people he'd totally finish the game, trust him, than actually working on the game. Then someone remade Yandere Sim in like 2 weeks after 5 years of development. We say that some of the games in the porn sphere have a milking problem, yandere sim was the prototype for that shit.

this looks very promissing, any chance to become the villain? just asking for a friend.....
Also curious on something similar. Are their anti-hero options/paths (if not able to be a secret villian) Doing corruptive/depraved stuff to other students/hero wannabies/LIs always sounds fun.

"Hero College".
In a world where 90% of all people have a superpower and as such means to be "heroes", they really would not be heroes. They would be normies/normal people.
The last 10% would be those who suffered because of the ones who do have powers.

This negates the need for a hero academy, and also, invalidates the concept of "heroes".

even if you have powers it doesnt make you a hero
you need to learn, improve how you use your powers
when to use powers and so on
you should watch "my hero academia"
i guess this is where they got this idea
most of the ppl ther have some kind of powers
but only few gets into hero schools
the rest works normal jobs that works with ther powers

Except not, because 90% of that 90% have useless powers like turning your head blue but only on Tuesdays. Having a good enough power to be a candidate for pro superhero is a genetic lottery win just like having (the potential to build) a good enough physique to be a pro athlete IRL. (Assuming this game's world follows the example of the specific popular anime/manga it obviously draws most of its inspiration from.)

Since this is completely derivative of my hero academia, I'll speak to that. There are basically just many people with minor powers. The MC's mom's power is to levitate small objects. The heroes are basically people who have strong enough powers to actually be used to fight crime or help those in need or whatever.

It looked promising, but everything I’ve read from the dev leads me to believe he’s either going to cancel it in the next few months or disappear off the face of the earth.

Heroes are just a fancy term for law enforcement but with PR and branding.
