That trap explanation is the only one I've ever seen that makes me question my trap enjoyer ways.
Honestly, that explanation sounds like somebody doing everything in their power to not seem weird. Not strictly in a homophobic way, but having to work backwards from "I like masculine women" to make up a master's thesis about being straighter than other people who like women. It's about as solid of an argument as "I'm morally superior because I like the color green, when everybody else likes teal".
And also the most likely label for somebody who likes traps "because they have a dick" is probably gay.
