Probably when the game is finished? Otherwise it would go on with 1.1, 1.2 ...
Say she finishes the game after 36 episodes now we will probably get 0.34, 0,35, 1.0. Otherwise we would end with episode 3.6.

Don't be silly. After 0.99 there's 0.100 (assuming base 10).
Also, versions are only meant to have meaning for developers. Your job as a consumer is just to shrug and see the number's gotten bigger.

It's completely fine to call it v0.10
v1.0 would mean, that the game is finished.
It also has a meaning for players. Usually a version number looks like this v1.1.1
If the first number changes it means usually that the game got a big update like an expansion, the second number determines small updates and the last one bug fixes. However, that is mostly used by big companies like Blizzard or Riot Games. Most of the devs on patreon just do it how they like.

the first number stands for major release.
The second for minor release. And yes, after 9 comes the 10. So it's v0.10.
A third would be the patch level.

Wow, finished playing through, this is the first "visual novel" Ive read through in years!
It has realistic situations, great characters, the choices seem meaningful (no that telltale crap we get in our days).
Came for the porn stayed for the story, dont know if she reads our comments but I cant wait to see where her work takes her.
