Online version requires a connection to their servers, offline does not. The offline version is really just the online version + a local copy of their server code and a tiny tweak to make the client connect to the local server instead of the one in their shitty cloud service.
I have done that so many times... I have a sore wrist now clicking 1000+ times.. still only previous scenes keep repeating

i told you that you have to wait v.56345654 to see some "action" with Kate, didn't i ?? now we'll have to wait even more, because some people love to pay and wait for already made (and cancelled) game twice. what a nasty joke.. feel free to support EA/DS

For every thing he suggests as possible added content we're looking at timesinks. Adding Eric for the few who wants him is a month right there. Adding every scene to build up to BB storyline is 2 years right there. Adding all the fluff and other extra grand deluxe illusions is probably another 8 years of Developing. And what do we get in the meantime? Nothing but an unfinished game with thousands of preended story arcs and risk of cancelation at any given moment.

Having multiple story arcs working at the same time. 1 with Eric and 1 without for example. He tried that in BB making you shoose early on between Olivia and Lisa and as time went on realised you have to make 1 full new version of the game per story. It's a terrible idea at best. (He then dropped olivia and left a dead end ingame without even a warning)
So hold your breaths people.. IF, and thats a big IF, he gets the game finished with all he wants and ses for it and never take a break.. it could be done by the year 2065
Well here is a Developer who ses himself as a tripple A gamecompany with 600 hundred employes and millions of dollars in the bank. In truth it's an indie Dev with income bases on patreon crowd funding.

This time we've decided to announce 0.12 content early. Today we have big and exciting news and we hope you're going to like it.
This post is going to have some spoilers about 0.12. Nothing major (besides the theme itself), but if you prefer to go into the game completely blind, this is your spoiler warning. The post will also have some minor spoilers from 0.11.
We made sure to support more than one main character from the very beginning of Glamour development. Couple of months ago we added Alex as male protagonist. Alex is a nice, kind guy, but he has a problem: he doesn't really have much of a personality and is basically Kate's clone sans her shyness. Alex's content was always going to be a copy of Kate's content, but not everything can be copied (mainly maid job and shyness). Also, Julia has Nick, who's in the way for Alex. I don't have to tell you about this, though, you probably already know.
We had a poll and it showed not many players want us to spend much time on Alex, and the ones that do, don't want us to spend too much time on him. People don't really care about Alex, so maybe a fully fledged character would be better? Someone with unique content, character and personality...
Another poll from last month shows most players want to see more content with Alice. And, of course, it's not really about specifically Alice and more about nostalgia for all characters from BB. 0.11 was all about them, but we want to go even further.
So, as you've probably figured out by now, here's our plans for 0.12:
I imagine this going to raise a lot of questions, so we're going to attempt to answer them here.
- Alex is going to leave the game. The only unique content he had was his intro and two first days of school. You can check it out in 0.11 if you want.
- Max is going to take his place. Now you'll have a choice between playing as Kate or Max.
- The game is getting all locations from Max's home plus one new one and another one later.
- 0.12 is going to be all about Max.
What about Kate?
After we release 0.12 we're going to have a poll and see what you want next: maybe Max and Kate will take turns having our undivided attention for a month; maybe it will be a 50/50 split every month; or maybe Max will follow Alex's steps and we'll keep focusing on only Kate. It's up to you. But this poll will have to wait until after 0.12 when you will have seen our plans for the characters.
Why couldn't you fix the old BB?
Reworking all texts would have taken about as much time as rewriting them all from scratch, would take several months and you wouldn't be getting any new content during all that time. Instead we've decided to focus on making a foundation for the game of our dream. Mechanically, Glamour is infinitely more advanced than BB and lets us implement our wildest ideas. Old BB was a lot less flexible and adding new content was more and more complications, even though if it had some good things too.
Why couldn't you add Max as the main character instead of Alex in the first place?
Max is more than a single character, he's basically an entire ecosystem. It's the villa (6 locations in BB and 8 in Glamour), characters: Ann, Kira, Lisa (also Eric, but I don't want to add him here for reasons I'll mention later) and his story. None of this was in the game when we added Alex in the game. Now that 0.11 is done, we already have locations, characters and new story.
Why did you have to change the story (or, as someone else called it, canon)?
We've made some mistakes in the past and this is a good opportunity to fix them.
We already mentioned this one in the past, so I don't know if people are going to ask this question, but here's how Glamour's mechanics are better than BB's.
- Eric was inevitable in BB, which not a lot of people liked. He's going to be completely optional in Glamour and it will be up to the players whether they want to see him in their game.
- Lisa's story was kind of backwards. It started with BDSM and anal, and then struggled to evolve into romance. We're going to make it more logical this time.
The only downside Glamour has compared to BB-however minor it is-is the lack of characters' images with their emotions in the bottom left corner during dialogs. And here are the plus sides:
- Dialogs are easier to read because you can see the whole thing. You can go back to re-read something, pause or skip the whole thing with a single click.
- Glamour has minutes. Things like shower and breakfast don't take an entire hour and are now optional. Pretty much every action was taking one hour in BB. The difference is especially apparent if you play BB after playing Glamour.
- Glamour has way more advanced engine. Inventory, smartphone (once we implement it), laptop and many other things are much easier to implement. Even something as basic as adding new locations was so complicated we were just creating new events instead of actual new locations in BB.
- Glamour has a lot more locations, new characters, college and a big story. Max's story and Glamour's story will go hand in hand together.
What are the story differences from BB?
If you haven't played 0.11, this is you last chance to avoid spoilers.
- We don't want to get banned, so the biggest most obvious change is no one's going to specify any kind of relations between the characters. All of it is going to be up to players' imagination, the game won't be mentioning anything out loud.
- We won't have enough time to work on intro for Max because we're assuming most of you would prefer to see an actual gameplay about present, not, the past. Also, February is the shortest month of the year so we don't have much time. So in the meantime, here's a brief synopsis: Ann's ex husband gifts her the villa so Ann, Max, Lisa and Alice move to the big city. We'll add a real intro after 0.12.
- Villa's big so the expenses are going to be fairly high. And while the solar panels provide enough electricity, someone has to pay the rest of the bills. Ann will get a job. 0.11 touched this briefly.
- Eric will be in the game, but originally he's going to be behind the scenes. Max will be able to talk Ann out of the relationships with Eric so you won't have to see him if you don't want to. And if someone misses him, maybe (no promises yet) Max will be able to convince Ann to start dating Eric so he'll have an active role in the game. Again, this is going to be 100% optional and voluntary.
- Alice goes to college and has a part time job. You probably know what kind of job she has if you played BB or Glamour 0.11, but 0.12 will have more details.
- Max needs to go to college if he doesn't want to be drafted in the army. Glamour's world has mandatory draft for all men over 18, with some exceptions like people who apply to college. Max doesn't want to join the army but he can't just get into college because he was expelled from high school. Max will have to get ready with the help of his new tutors (Veronica and Karen) and then he'll get into the same college as Alice and Kate. And there happened to be a class with only 11 students...
- This time instead of Eric, Karen will be the one to talk Ann into installing physical punishment system in the house. Again, you might have heard about it in 0.11.
- Now Ann has a car so she doesn't need Eric to drive her around if she wants to go shopping or go to work.
- Eventually Alice and Max will also get their own transports.
- Max needs an income. His income source won't be anything new for BB veterans, but there will be new expenses like paying college fines if Max doesn't want to be punished or work off his debt in some other way. Max won't be going to college in 0.12, though, that's a lot of content and, again, February is the shortest month in the year.
- Kira lives in Magnolia now. Fortunately, her studio (or, as she calls it, a "photo studio") is close to Ann's house so Kira is going to be staying overnight sometimes.
- Move over old Kate, there's a new Kate in town! Alice gets a new best friend while her old friend stayed behind and won't be in the game.
- Why learn massage from the Internet when there's a great masseuse who could teach Max all kinds of amazing techniques?
- Max will be able to hire Kate as a maid to clean the house. Ideally, we'll add everything leading up to this point in 0.12.
- Most of the old events from BB will happen in Glamour, but they'll be new and improved. They'll also fit in better with the lore and new elements like college and new characters.
Judging by the sheer amount of fan made remakes, a lot of people care about BB. World seems to want more content with our beloved characters, who are we to say no?
Now you won't have to choose between BB and Glamour. We're combining two games in one!

Yep, pretty much. Even before these additions the scope of this game was already way too big.
There are already like a dozen of characters that have little to no content. Lots of core game mechanics still missing.
For example the whole inventory/crafting/buying new clothes system.
And now he has more than doubled the already insane amount of content he needs to work on.
