So, for about the last month I've been working on my own little game. It's of course nowhere near complete yet, but I'm getting close to requesting play testers/qc and thought I might give a bit of background on here. This is the first I'm telling anyone about it, in fact!

The Plot
You are uprooted out of nowhere and flung into an unknown world. This is a hub world, a junction if you will, the place travellers connect and travel through gateways to connect to distant worlds and universes. It is soon clear you are somehow embroiled in the machinations of someone else's grand game spanning centuries, and to gain power for yourself and another, you're tasked with growing this hub world by making it appealing to the travellers passing through. Unable to travel back through the portal, you are forced to make a home here with the "strays", nine women who arrived, much earlier, but in similar circumstances to yourself. However, you quickly come to realise your arrival and reason for being here is vastly different to theirs and that their lives are now irrevocably connected to your own.

I do not believe I'm adding any new ideas or anything particularly exciting into the mix, but I hope to create something enjoyable with enough twists and turns, some obvious, some not, to keep players entertained.

Sandbox
I'm aware this simple word is quite divisive within the community, but I personally enjoy sandbox, when it's truly sandbox. Of course, sandbox elements grow as the main story does, but I always get upset if a game marked as sandbox is just free roam with no actual side or branching content because of the sandbox inclusion. But when it is actually sandbox, I enjoy it, more so with management games, and that's what I want here.

Management
Speaking of management, that's exactly what this is about. While I haven't delved deeply into the management aspects yet (I've just done the barebones of the system for prototyping) the basic concept is that of a town management sim, without the permanent residency. Build stuff, research stuff, and send your workers out on expeditions through the gateway to get resources to build and research more stuff. This grants you power to further advance the story line.

Branching
I have taken a College Daze approach to branching, though given how early my game is, it's not yet anywhere near as complex. But, the main story line is somewhat linear with only a few major branch decisions. However, the details of that, when you discover things, who is involved in it, etc, is all based on who you interact with and when. One of the first "branch tasks" for instance, has eight different variants. Six of them are similar, and only change the dialogue slightly, but you get much earlier access to side content (lewd) based on the decision. The seventh is outright lewd and the eighth is the task being forced on you because you didn't do it yourself already. Other branching tasks have fewer options, but more far-reaching ones. Depending on how you solve a task, you may enable more side content, or skip main story tasks simply because the current one gave more info than you were tasked with.

Actresses
So, there's a lot. Most are side characters, the nature of the world allows me to introduce transient characters relatively easily, but even without that I've gone a bit heavy. I've tried to use actresses you don't normally see in these games. There's still some overlap, but even with those I've tried to use them only when I've seen them as side content. Obviously, I haven't played every real porn game out there, so there's highly likely to be some overlap. But here's the characters that currently have lewd content (BJ or sex at least).
Armani Black, Cassie Del Isla, Kayla Kayden, Lacy Lennon, Molly Little, Moriah Mills, Britt Blair, Monique Alexander, Vanna Bardot, Whitney Westgate & Val Steele.
There are more characters in the game, but they don't have scenes (yet!).

Sex
Real porn. Several months ago, I originally had the idea for the game and had wanted to make it in renpy with 3D assets. I happily got my basic cycles and stats working in renpy as a little prototype, then decided to try my hand at Daz before moving on. I'm simply crap at it, whether that's down to lack of skill or lack of patience I'm unsure, but I'd basically given up my hopes at that point. Then, I played Mayor of Mount Pleasant, my first HTML game as well as my first real porn game and decided that I could still follow my desires in this format. HTML works better for me, though I'd still much have preferred to do 3D to be honest.

Most lewd scenes are a video clip (not gifs) of 5-10 seconds. There's also a couple of medium sized scenes with multiple positions (Lacy/Val) and one large scenes with several positions (Monique). As of the current test build, there are 17 lewd scenes (bj or sex), 1 lesbian scene and few lesser lewds (hand job/masturbation).

Fetishes
Right now, I've got the usual landlady stuff in, but the story is only just progressing to the interactions with immediate family so are no sex scenes with them. There is however stuff with the landlord's sister. Relationships with the landlady and landlords’ family are customisable from the moment you meet them. As is everyone's name.
Vanilla Stuff - Obviously.
Voyeurism - Both you peeking and you being peeked upon.
Transformation - You can prevent any male characters ever coming to your world if you want, just transform them into a woman! Other options will come later.
BDSM - Other than some kinky talk, there's nothing under this header yet, but I will add it as an option for some characters should the player wish to explore it. I'm unlikely to do anything too in depth, though. Probably just keep it light with some gags, paddles, and pillories rather than anything too intense.
Lesbian - Avoidable.

To be honest, other than sharing options (avoidable) I don't particularly have plans for this. Mostly, the stuff comes organically as I write and try to find corresponding scenes. I'm open to most things MMF/MFF/MF but no male gay or bi content. Beasiality, big/lttiles and old age content are stuff I won't be including either.
Beyond that it's gonna be case by case and how it fits into the world, and whether my chosen actresses have any appropriate content.

Writing
I'm not going to lie, I don't think I'm good at writing erotic scenes, and I have struggled to keep the dialog of each character feel unique to them. Once there's been some play testers involved and I have a better gauge of potential interest, I can then move toward hiring a writer, probably freelance at the start, to edit and improve what I've written. Something akin to a ghost writer mixed with an editor, I guess.

The first few passages are somewhat pants if I'm being honest. I struggled how to get my character into the new world proper. My original intention when it was going to be 3D was a camping trip with the family. But once using real porn, I could find no such scenes that achieved what I wanted with the actresses I'd chosen, so I went down this restaurant route and it just feels a little off to me atm.

Money
Game will be entirely free. Given I'm using real porn, I'm not sure I could ever do anything different even if I wanted to. But if there's enough interest, I would be willing to explore patreon, hence the landlady move. But it's no deal breaker and regardless all content will always be free. I'm doing this for my enjoyment, as a hobbyist in my spare time. Though as mentioned above, if it were to gain any sort of popularity, I would need some form of game-dedicated income to pay a writer.

Updates
I have a full time job that I mostly enjoy, sometimes upwards of 50 hours so there won't be massive content updates every month like some games, though I would like to always have something out each month, even if minor, I don't think it's wise I commit to anything until I've a better idea of the potential popularity of the game. Given I’ve chosen HTML & real porn, and the number of management games is low, I'm not particularly expecting a horde, but it would be nice to have a small fanbase.

Current Status
I'm currently working back through my TODO list for the existing content, tying up loose ends and checking for any plot holes I may have added unintentionally. Once I'm happy there's a good amount of side content for all the current characters, and most importantly, lewd content, I will start seeking play testers in the recruitment thread.

The game has grown both exponentially faster than I expected, but then way slower in other areas. The main story for instance hasn't moved too far (on top of that I feel like on day 3 I may unload too much plot too quickly) but the number of scenes, and extras has gone on way more than I thought. I have yet to get into the major decisions, though I have briefly touched upon foretelling some of them, and I'm sat at over half a million characters already. I worry the game may be too wordy - another reason for the writer mentioned previously, but this is also why I feel it lends itself better to Twine than it does renpy.

So, what next?
Well, as mentioned earlier, right now I'm working to clean up the loose ends and ensure all women have lewd content. My next step then is to make interactions use their lust/like stats more as right now some of the girls you can bypass their 'development' and just chat with them a couple of times to have sex with them. For a couple of characters this is entirely intended as it matches their personality, but for most, while I don't want a super grind, there should still be a litltle more "foreplay". I then want to get working on the skill and traits system before continuing the main story.

There's a lot I haven't talked about that's in the game, as I feel the post would go on too long... and it's already damn long, but perhaps that will add to the joy of discovery when players get involved.

So only about three or four more story passages as I’ve been trying to make current side content a bit more organised and accessible to players. Progress has been pretty good, but very different from the initial push as it's been much less story related.

With that in mind, I’ve started working on the tracker.

Only two of the women have active tracking info atm, but you can see the general concept, simply change to any other woman on any screen at your leisure. Placing it in the sidebar, an already busy area thanks to task tracking and quick travel is making the bar too high. I'll likely move the tracker to the top and do something like Love & Vice.

Tracker events aren't necessarily sequential, certain events can be done out of the tracker's sequence, and if you happen to do item 2 before item 1, you simply won't see item 2 upon completion of item 1, you'd just assume item 3 is item 2. I want the tracker to be optional, sandbox content should imo, mostly not be shoehorned into things happening in a certain order. Don't get me wrong, certain things need other things to happen to open more things (things!) but especially at the start when choosing to get to know the women, you've freedom to explore as you see fit. I intend to try and keep that up throughout using only relationship stats and sotry progression to gate most of it. Sandbox games can rarely get away without some sort of tracker, but I don't want to feel like it must be followed to the letter either.

Mechanically, "resources" and "energy" now in the game. Resources are used to build and research stuff. Originally, I was going to go down the metal, wood, cables, circuit boards etc route and just decided I was making it overly complex given this isn't meant to be a factory game. So, just a very vague 'resources'. You gain new resources by sending people out on expeditions through the gateway.


Energy is what you use to connect the gateway, most actions don't need it, so you aren't limited to several actions a day. Expeditions require energy, different worlds requiring different amount, but also granting better rewards as the cost increases. The other use of energy is used for transforming travellers.

Fatigue for your workers and explorers has been added. Once they reach 50 fatigue, their work starts to suffer reducing its effectiveness by 2% for every 1 fatigue above 50. Each night they replenish 5 fatigue. Working a shift costs 4 fatigue. A shift is 4 hours (Evening shift is 3).

Attractiveness has just been added, this is the attractiveness of your hub, how many travellers want to come through, and is pivotal to progressing main story events and meeting new characters.

Traits have been added to all the workers/explorers. Though not all of them have a real use yet. All the exploration-related ones work (eg Scavenger increases gain, Cautious increases min gain by 20%, but also decreases max gain by 10%). There are also some worker-related ones, such as "Burnout" which completely negates all fatigue gains when the character is working the monitoring station, but they instead have a small percentage to immediately burnout raising fatigue to max - I may rename this one to Hyperfocus.

I've only added 3 or 4 lewd scenes since last update as I've been mostly focusing on tidying up.

Content has grown a little slower, but still a decent pace. The exception is passages which has grown a lot since the last post, but that's mostly due each woman having a separate passage for their tracker.

Happy to playtest. I actually quite enjoy real porn games if they're executed properly, but my issue with most of them is that they're either HTML powerpoint presentations, or straight up poorly written novels with sparsely distributed smut.

Have you considered using AI to craft passages? Might come in handy if you feel you're lacking the creative oomph in the writing, granted that your mind is lewd enough to create the scenarios.

That'd be great, I will let you know when I'm at a point I'm comfortable to share. I think the tracker for all girls then a few more lewd scenes and I should be at a point the game playable as a introduction to the its potential.

Have to say it's quite a daunting thing to share the project. It's got to come at some point, but I also dread that my rose-tinted glasses will be quickly be destroyed.

i am not adverse to AI, though I do prefer paying humans for their work generally. AI creating art, while certainly has several merits, just feels kind of wrong in a way. I feel AI should be assisting humans to remove admin and data entry, not art. But that's not a strong opinion, so if the potential of this game is rather small, AI may be a safe bet on a limited budget. If it can get a decent following, I'd prefer to pay someone but I'm aware the likelihood of that is slim given HTML, real porn and management all individualy aren't the most popular categories - never mind together.

A smaller update this time.

Most of the women now have trackers active, in creating them, I realised some women just lacked lewd content so there's a few more lewd scenes now. There are at present two types of lewd scene. Guaranteed and stat locked. The former is usually part of main narrative, still avoidable, but no actual work is done for them. A few of the women do have "no-effort" side content too, but that's down to those with amorous traits. The stat-locked just means you need to have built enough relationship with them.


A bit of work done to the GUI too. Still nothing to make it eye-pleasing, but added right sidebar and moved the tracker and quick travel options over there so that the left isn't getting too crowded or needing scrolling too often. Additionally, I realised the rota management got a bit unwieldy when you had loads of facilities. I've not removed it as an option, but I have also added the ability to manage them directly within the relevant facility, just click the slot and a popup appears allowing you to (re)assign the workers for that shift. The screenshot shows me changing the morning shift, which is currently worked by "Kylie". The screenshot also shows the start of facility upgrades. Just simple ways to improve your facilities.

I've also moved over to Tweego thanks to Alcahest pointing out the existence of the -w parameter. Can't express my gratitude enough. It has sped up my development and testing so much. The native debugging tool in Twine is just more pain than it is helpful most of the time. In fact, I'm not even using Twine's GUI anymore. Unfortunately, due to a few late nights at work I haven't seen as much benefit from this as I'd like.

Your workers skills now increase as they work.
A bunch of facilities added.
Scene replayer now tagged with content, i.e bj/vaginal/lesbian etc.

But honestly, a lot of what I've been doing is storyboarding the individual storylines. The main story hasn't really moved at all but adding the tracker stuff showed me that some characters were just background info with no real progression to their individual plots. Some still don't advance far enough for you to tell where it's going, but I've at least started the foreshadowing for them.

Either way, I think I'm just finding ways to stall as releasing for playtesting is a super scary prospect, but gotta happen sometime otherwise what's the point?

I want to refine the facilities management stuff a bit more and get the tracker setup for the last few women, then hopefully I don't find a new excuse, otherwise I'll be working on this for months before anyone sees it!

As for the updates... well, it's a lot.

New character type. Offworld worker. Purely super minor side characters who live on the other side of the gateway. They may feature in other storylines but won't really have development themselves. Can still gain favor and unlock scenes with them, but it’s not really story driven. Only two added, as of right now, each is mutually exclusive but in the future you'll be able to pick up the one you didn't choose.

Some work done to the rota system, the characters now have exclusions or constraints to where they are willing to work. Both effectively achieve same thing, but I didn't want to list umpteen exclusions if they can only work in one or two places and vice versa.

More working traits.

Tooltips added to the women in rota menus to make it easier to track their info.

The purpose of these tooltips is simply so you don't have to remember each character's individual info or have to keep checking the phone/computer. Basically, trying to get some QoL stuff in early. With that sentiment, avatars also show tooltips without the rota-related info, and the rotas within specific facilities show skill and fatigue.

Dreams added. Like many games of this type, it's mostly a bunch of random lewd/sexy gifs. However, there is also a collection of lewd gifs with steady progression that will become relevant later in the story.

I intend to add some none-lewd options too. Right now, you have 25% of the progression dream, 25% of no dream and 50% chance of a lewd/sexy dream. I will likely add the ability to turn that 50% off completely for those that don't care for it.

Teaching added. For the moment only one person capable of doing this. They can impart their knowledge on to others when they’re in the office. Unlike all other characters, she starts with a max-level skill, but is unable to actually work using it. The mechanic can be largely ignored but will enable your workers to skill up much quicker – and probably more importantly, will lead to additional lewd scenes. It uses a slimmed down character select, only available workers are included, so if someone is on shift, they can’t join Kimberly in the office.

Even though it’s basic, I quite like this, using their avatar in a smaller width box. Though simply, I quite like this and have mimicked it elsewhere where there are potentially 10+ choices,

Made the management screen images slightly smaller as getting a bit busy. I think I may need to rethink that design entirely as still a bunch more facilities to add.

Story moved forward a little. New side character added, you can largely ignore them if you’re not interested in their lewd scenes, but their initial two interactions are required to progress the main story. She has a rather unique setup atm, she sticks around the hotel for the day, you can interact with her each time she moves to another location only once, the better you pay attention, the better the result at the end of the day. She will revisit weekly, so nothing is misssable, but also the content doesn’t change (yet).

Added individual colors to most character’s text. I’m honestly unsure if I’ll keep it, but we’ll see.

Room actions added/updated.
Kitchen – Bake to get some affection with your chosen woman.
Meditate – Gain a buff for a few hours that increases like gains.
Workout – Gain a buff for a few hours that increases lust gains.
Watch TV – Gain like with all people present.
Swim – Gain lust with all people present.
Play – Play in the gamesroom. Gain like with opponent.

Apart from TV, all of them have lewd content attached. TV instead is required for certain characters’ development. Further lewd content is planned for them all - gamesroom foremost.

What I’d like to happen is there always be something worthwhile to do, so it doesn’t feel like you’re grinding/skipping time while that still being an option if preferred and not interested in side-lewds.

Photoshoots added. It’s important to a couple of women’s storylines, but otherwise it's entirely for more lewd content. Right now, only two characters available. Its main “goal” is to give a repeatable way to raise corruption, though non-household members will also be available. Beyond the initial shoots, most won’t feature much dialogue.

Corruption added. It’s not used overly much right now, but it’s mostly meant for household members who have a pre-existing relationship with you and may need that extra nudge to convince things to move forward. Some of your household members already have no such inhibitions, however. It progresses much the same as like and lust but there are less repeatable options to raise it and will unlock events at specific thresholds. So it’s kind of a mix of like and lust but with its own mini-story progression per woman.

Credits page now fully automated based on who you’ve met.

Able to remotely connect (later in specific character's story) to some other user's computers to access documents and pictures on their computer. Not much content for this as yet as only just introduced. Docs will be the main content for spying on other characters. I /may/ add some webcam peeping to this, but as I already have peeping available via other means, it's probably going to be very little. The pictures available are lewds I liked from scenes the actors did, but couldn't otherwise use in the game. The pictures are all softcore at present. This content can also be entirely avoided if you desire and is almost entirely for flavor, but certain women's stories wll require accessing this feature - of course, most women's individual stories are also optional.

A lot of the content in this update is directly as a result of following someone’s individual story. I.e the photo studio is unlocked by following Charlotte’s story and teaching comes from Kimberley’s. You do not have to follow everyone’s story if you don’t want to, but you will miss out on facilities, scenes and minor characters.

So yeah, loads there! Probably some stuff I've missed and certainly some stuff I've not noted at all.
Hopefully will have an alpha uploaded over weekend.

I've also played a few other HTML games recently, and note those including videos don't have that much dialogue at all, so I suspect I may have been overthinking how much is required during a scene.

The mechanic can be largely ignored but will enable your workers to skill up much quicker – and probably more importantly, will lead to additional lewd scenes. It uses a slimmed down character select, only available workers are included, so if someone is on shift, they can’t join Kimberly in the office.

Even though it’s basic, I quite like this, using their avatar in a smaller width box. Though simply, I quite like this and have mimicked it elsewhere where there are potentially 10+ choices,

Made the management screen images slightly smaller as getting a bit busy. I think I may need to rethink that design entirely as still a bunch more facilities to add.

Story moved forward a little. New side character added, you can largely ignore them if you’re not interested in their lewd scenes, but their initial two interactions are required to progress the main story. She has a rather unique setup atm, she sticks around the hotel for the day, you can interact with her each time she moves to another location only once, the better you pay attention, the better the result at the end of the day. She will revisit weekly, so nothing is misssable, but also the content doesn’t change (yet).

Added individual colors to most character’s text. I’m honestly unsure if I’ll keep it, but we’ll see.

New planet added for expeditions.

Room actions added/updated.
Kitchen – Bake to get some affection with your chosen woman.
Meditate – Gain a buff for a few hours that increases like gains.
Workout – Gain a buff for a few hours that increases lust gains.
Watch TV – Gain like with all people present.
Swim – Gain lust with all people present.
Play – Play in the gamesroom. Gain like with opponent.

Apart from TV, all of them have lewd content attached. TV instead is required for certain characters’ development. Further lewd content is planned for them all - gamesroom foremost.

What I’d like to happen is there always be something worthwhile to do, so it doesn’t feel like you’re grinding/skipping time while that still being an option if preferred and not interested in side-lewds.

Photoshoots added. It’s important to a couple of women’s storylines, but otherwise it's entirely for more lewd content. Right now, only two characters available. Its main “goal” is to give a repeatable way to raise corruption, though non-household members will also be available. Beyond the initial shoots, most won’t feature much dialogue.

Corruption added. It’s not used overly much right now, but it’s mostly meant for household members who have a pre-existing relationship with you and may need that extra nudge to convince things to move forward. Some of your household members already have no such inhibitions, however. It progresses much the same as like and lust but there are less repeatable options to raise it and will unlock events at specific thresholds. So it’s kind of a mix of like and lust but with its own mini-story progression per woman.

Credits page now fully automated based on who you’ve met.

Able to remotely connect (later in specific character's story) to some other user's computers to access documents and pictures on their computer. Not much content for this as yet as only just introduced. Docs will be the main content for spying on other characters. I /may/ add some webcam peeping to this, but as I already have peeping available via other means, it's probably going to be very little. The pictures available are lewds I liked from scenes the actors did, but couldn't otherwise use in the game. The pictures are all softcore at present. This content can also be entirely avoided if you desire and is almost entirely for flavor, but certain women's stories wll require accessing this feature - of course, most women's individual stories are also optional.

A lot of the content in this update is directly as a result of following someone’s individual story. I.e the photo studio is unlocked by following Charlotte’s story and teaching comes from Kimberley’s. You do not have to follow everyone’s story if you don’t want to, but you will miss out on facilities, scenes and minor characters.

So yeah, loads there! Probably some stuff I've missed and certainly some stuff I've not noted at all.
Hopefully will have an alpha uploaded over weekend.

I've also played a few other HTML games recently, and note those including videos don't have that much dialogue at all, so I suspect I may have been overthinking how much is required during a scene.
Dialogue during the sex scene is a pure whim of each person.
For example, I don’t care, well, I won’t mind if they are well written. They can even bring their own charm to the game.

I also played many games where they were and where they were not. I don't know if my advice will help you.
I'm working on a game myself and I decided to try this system.
Dialogues at the beginning of the scene when the sex scene starts. End of sex scene.

Here is a simple example of what I had in mind.

Picture/Video
(Which is convenient for you to use picture or video)

Character one
Test Dialog

Character two
Test Dialog

start sex scene
(Then the player is redirected to another page with a choice of sex positions which he wants to choose.)

When the player gets tired of watching a video/picture.
(Making it possible to finish the sex scene with the characters. The player is thrown to the page to finish.)

We repeat the first 3 points and the place where the sex scene starts, change the name to finish the sex with the characters.

All scenes have buildup dialogue bar one, it's the actual dirty talk I haven't really put in for m aybe half a dozen scenes, maybe I should just leave that to the video itself. If I manage to get some good playtesters on, I can use that feedback to decide before a proper 0.1.

This one is commendable for doing such a volume of work. Well, you should always remember that if there are a lot of girls in the game, the modern dialogues can start to repeat themselves.

There are many reasons, laziness will already write or fantasy will end.
Also, if you write dialogues, you will need to turn off the sound of the videos so as not to spoil the atmosphere of the game.

Hmmm, I can't imagine it without audio, my scenes are literally built around it. Perhaps that alone is reason enough to reduce the text between them. I'd still want some, I feel the taboo scenes especially benefit from it. Right now I try to make it so on a regular monitor you can see the video and all the text with little to no scrolling - won't work for everyone due to different resolutions, of course. Perhaps I'll try to make that goal more strict to find the decent medium. Remove scrolling entirely on 1080p @ 100% scale during lewd scenes. Well, other than position choices/next button. My dialogue boxes are quite large, so that's like 3 dialogues and maybe 2 narrations.

So, first alpha version available.
Few notes:
  • In terms of main story content, there's about 12 days worth of content. But you can stretch it much further with all the side content. However, it can take a while to get it all as it's not currently balanced as I've yet to add the facility upgrade stuff which will reduce research and build times.
  • It's dialogue-heavy and a bit of a slow burn to start. If reading everything probably a couple hours before you get into the lewds.
  • In terms of main story, once you've met Ruby, Millie & Derin (Or Derek second time) and met Quinn the second time you're done, but should still be side content available.
  • The initial lewd scenes you encounter are generally brief, the later scenes have more content.
  • There's about half a dozen sex scenes without any dialogue during (just before and after) while I decide whether the current dialogued-scenes are too dialogue-heavy or not based on feedback I hope tog et like that given by Feyscheck above (thank you!).
  • There are four tasks added for future versions that can't be completed here.2/5 Buffer, check with voice about land, find out about council and find out why eastlanders wanted to destroy voice.. Three of these are via optional content, so don't worry if you finish with only one of them.
  • Atm, there's a few lewd scenes that are mutually exclusive. This won't be the case in later releases, all "missable" lewds will have alternative unlocks later in the game.
  • Beoynd myself, no playtesting. Likely to be bugs, balancing, critical feedback and lots of typos to address.
  • This isn't (with some exception) meet a woman and fuck her. It's also not romance. Some women need more interaction then others to achieve the lewds.
  • Most sex is optional - generally best to follow the individual trackers to get most of it (unlocked at the end of day 3).
  • There is autoplaying audio, so bear that in mind if playing with speakers.
  • If playing mobile, go in landscape, but not at all tested if it works well within it.
  • I am super nervous airing this out.

This is brilliant, thank you! I very much appreciate it. I'll go through in proper detail and address before pushing out build 2. A few comments jumped out so will mention now.

The popups used to be in the top right, but I was worried they may not be prominent enough. I'll move the gain/losses ones back over there and see how it goes.

Oddly enough the flirt feedback part I've already addressed in my current dev build.

The chat option is just to gain easy likes once a day (like flirt) without having to repeat long conversations, I'll rename to "Small Talk". it also now only appears when benificial. I had originally done some small dialogues for them but decided that level of flavour was over the top, and would get repetitive, fast.

Time shouldn't actually move or be visible until you’re in free roam, I think I've introduced a big bug there when I changed the time system to use the dayjs library.

Clim is a slang term for cum, but perhaps too local so I'll change those occurrences out.

  • Added ability at start of the game to quickly set preset relationship types with household members. Can still be edited per individual when meeting them. Scenes where characters are worried or reluctant about taboos may feel more meaningful with the first two options, but less so with the other two, especially landlady.

  • Can now spend an hour with a woman (must be on-world and not be working) in the spa to reduce fatigue by 5. No lewds yet.

  • Time no longer passes or displays until you enter free roam. Some discussion topics no longer available during initial introductions.
  • Reduced Megan’s lust requirement slightly for sex on day 2.

  • Armani’s sex scene on day 3 (if you went to gateway A without companions) was missing two videos, and unintentionally had no dialogue. I think I put it in and just completely forgot about it to be honest! Videos added, and now will include in the batch to add dialogue to once got some feedback.
  • Megan now properly tracks whether you peeked on her or not at the end of her day 2 event.

  • Kylie’s discussion topic “her” no longer visible once all benefits garnered. Also no longer shows full dialogue if you revisit after asking at least one question.
  • Can no longer chat to working women unless they have specific content for that facility.

  • First storied-lewd scene changed and expanded to full sex scene. Replay image not yet updated. Can no longer be avoided either. (Save file attached if you want to compare, osanaiko)
Bug Fixes
  • Lots of typos fixed.
  • First scene wasn’t honoring mc name change.
  • Error message no longer displays if you try to complete “Talk to the voice” task without a companion.
  • Missing tags fixed for Zoe and Rita discussions.
  • Added “No actions available” passage for the public toilets. They are largely irrelevant for now but will be upgradable to a larger facility later.

I played a little more. I know this is an alpha but i wanted to pass on a little more feedback about pacing:

1: Pacing of the relationship development with the women
- when the initial encounters with the women started with relatively low-key sex interactions - flirting, voyuerism, HJ, and BJ, I was thinking to myself "finally, a game with a slow escalation". However pretty soon it seemed every encounter with the other girls, including almost-first-time interactions, were full soup-to-nuts vaginal intercourse and facials. I understand that due to the nature of the source material it probably escalates quite quickly so you're partially limited by that, but my personal preference is slower corruption/escalation - MC should have to "work for it", at least a little. Grind some points, do some quests, answer questions correctly, even solve puzzles... escalate your interactions with the target, then finally get the full rewards.

2: Pacing of later content.
- i played for while and seemed to run out of content for nearly all girls, except a few where they were gated by what seemed like very long "build/research" times. Perhaps think about that balance a bit more - either spread the other girl's content out more, or reduce the wait time (or make it easier to progress time.

Status/issues when I gave up:
- I was unable to find how to complete the "Look into the buffer" task. Megan's status is "investigate buffer" so her route is softlocked.
- Kept getting the optional task "Tell Kimberly the full truth" return again each time I spoke with Lillian in the office.
- Visiting Gateway A and choosing "Explore" does nothing.
- Always get the message " The hub isn't attractive enough to entice people from new worlds yet. " for the Welcome Travellers option at Gateway B.
- Ruby's tracker status is "Progress with Charlotte" - there is no woman with that name
- Can't progress Tiffany because still 10 shifts to research "build a spa"
- it's possible to send Rita (for example? ) on expedition while also having Kimberly "teach" her (or maybe expedition started first, not sure)

I'm wondering if there are some more timer based (Days played) events to trigger some of these things? But given all the accessible content is exhausted it's hard to motivate clicking through days (and even more annoying is you have to find time-consuming tasks to make the day go by. I've ended up spamming "bake a cake" as it is easiest to access/repeatable.

Finally:
- got a javascript error popup in the Games room "play" option with Madison. Text was:
Error: <<lust>>: error within widget code (Error: <<run>>: bad evaluation: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'lust)).
