VN [Game Pitch] Father/Daughter Stepcest and Brothel Management

Hi! As many others here I'm in the path to developing erotic games.
I've been a 3DX artist using Daz for a while now, if you know my work or look for it you'll see almost everything is futa on female, some monster stuff and hyper stuff. This game won't have any of that though, since it's being made under another "artist name" I made a few days ago, RenMan3DX. This because futa seems to be one of those very divisive fetishes so you will know what content to expect depending on the name used.
Felt I had to make that clarification in case you find my work and notice how different this is. (I'll probably try to change my forum name to include both names, don't feel like making a whole new account here too...)

Anyway, having said all that, onwards to the game pitch.

Name: Debt Tainted Fate (not final but pretty much)

Short Sinopsis:
In this game you play as the stepfather of two girls of college age, you married their mother when they were very young but she died in a car accident 10 years ago, nevertheless you decided to raise them as your own. However, your past catches up to you, forcing you to manage a brothel in an effort to finally being able to leave it behind... or not? That life and some mystical revelations about your true origins might be too much to resist.

Tags and Content:

-Stepcest. It will be avoidable though, as there will be at least 4 other LIs besides the stepdaughters.
-Harem. Definitely a harem route.
-Not hyper levels, but the MC and a few others will have unrealistic big dick sizes and cum with some stomach deformation, though the last one I might try to make optional.
-Managing/Sandbox. Days pass as you choose actions for each time of the day and you will have a time limit for the main story. You will be in charge of hiring and training the staff of the brothel. By default LIs will not be prostitutes, some might work there in other jobs like doctor or security. Might add an optional but less effective training method for those wanting to remain 100% faithful to their LIs.
-3 possible careers for the MC. College Teacher, Office Work, Mechanic. Chosen at the beginning, this won't lock you out from any LI but will affect your relationship with them, making it harder or easier to get some of them, change the pool of possible hireable girls for the brothel, change scenes, etc. For example, if you choose College Teacher you will have it easier with one of your stepdaughters since she goes to the same college, but if you choose Mechanic you will have it easier with your other stepdaughter because instead of working somewhere else, she will work with you in your shop.
-Despite having a brothel theme, the intended "default" tone of the game is light, non-rapey. However, I'm considering having a "morals" system, letting the player "turn bad". If so, then the tags can get more hardcore but still avoidable. For example, originally I'm planning not allowing the player to put the LIs to work in the brothel as prostitutes. If I add the morals system, it's something the player might be able to do if the MC gets low enough morals. Let me know what do you think about this!
-Self-insert: Instead of the typical "clueless college kid" I felt like making a grown-ass man who also isn't an ugly bastard. So, even though the MC will be clearly shown sometimes for "priming" reasons, the game will be in first person and will avoid showing his face most of the time. If I add the morals system the player can also decide how good or bad he will be.
-(Tentative/Unlikely) I'm thinking about having different fitness options for the MC and/or making it a manageable stat during the game, but it would most likely increase too much the game size with the additional render variations and I feel most won't care enough about it anyway.

Tech-wise:
I'm between using Ren'py or RPGMakerMV. Most likely it will be RPGMakerMV but still VN style.

Why not full incest?
Patreon isn't the reason, it simply doesn't click for me in the case of "parent/child" while playing as the parent. I'm just not comfortable with that "power dynamic" (Don't worry, someone can always modify the game into a true incest story)

As a player your voice is actually pretty significant, so don't be afraid to give your opinion, specially if you want to see more of what you like in games.

I know there is a group of players who hate any sort of gameplay or sandbox element in their VNs but like I said, the management part of the game will stay no matter what.

I believe a lot of games with that sort of gameplay fail because they didn't integrate it well enough with the porn/erotic part of the game, turning it into a chore to get the next scene while giving you nothing in between, usually being worse the farther you get in the game. I don't think it even has to be new content all the time. There are some games where you unlock one scene and that's it, you don't get anything else until you unlock the next one. You can't repeat scenes or it doesn't give you any benefit gameplay-wise, or even worse, repeating scenes punishes you by gaining nothing plus losing in-game time.

So yeah, I will try my best to make it entertaining and balanced, but it stays.

Alright big one out of the way, many people will not like the idea of your love interests being prostitutes, people typically don't fancy the idea of the women they like getting railed by other men, the creator of Sex Notes game being about pornstars wasn't well received, but if that's something you're set on then I guess you go for it

You may get people that complain about unrealistic sizes but they are nowhere near as common as people claim and the few that do it tend to be popular if the game is actually decent.

One thing is that you seem to have a lot of variables which would make the game's progress progressively harder to program, you said making the daughters optional, that's easier said than done and rarely worth it, it will be a major selling point after all and the handful of people put off are unlikely to be worth how hard it will be balancing a coherent story that factors in you being in a relationship and not being in a relationship.

The optional career, body type and randomized girls are things that I would advise against unless you're set on these, things people care little about for the effort required.

If you're issue is with power dynamic, it will be their regardless on whether it's step or not, it's still their father figure. One suggestion for altering that is have the MC being a well intentioned father figure and it's actually the daughters that are the aggressors

Oh, the prostitutes won't be the LIs. I said that if I can't make a random character system I'd just make some minor premade characters for the prostitutes, not LIs. Of course, unless I add the moral system but then it's still up for the players which LIs they want to work as prostitutes in the brothel. Some LIs will work in the brothel but as doctor or security, things like that.
However, I just trimmed the Tags and Content section and now I noticed I forgot to specify the LIs won't be prostitutes there, so thanks for reminding me. Going to edit and make it clear.

I mean, as optional as any other LI in most other games with multiple LIs. Just to clarify, when I say optional I don't mean their existence or the fact that you can romance them. They will always be there and be a central part of the plot as your stepdaughters, you are just not forced to choose them if you like one of the other LIs.

Since the game is expected to be replayed the optional career is something meant to make each replay a little different. So, I don't want to say I'd never remove it but it is very highly unlikely. The random girl generation is something I'd like to add so the managing and sandbox part of the game gets some variation, but yeah, if I can't do it reasonably well then I'll drop it. Which would make the optional career even more important to add variation. The body type, yeah, it's highly unlikely I'll add it, specially if as you said people care little for it.

Well, I didn't want to say much about it, but yeah, that's actually how it is. The stepdaughters are the ones making the moves from the very beginning, so it's not that much of a spoiler, heh. Still, for me it does change the dynamic being blood related and it's not something I'd like to make.

Used to own a brothel and now has to run it again and raise his daughters.


First question:
Why add the daughters if they dont add to the porn?
Second question: How do you intent to do the brothel management.

Corrupting woman into whoring themselves out for me feels empowering.
After all they are using there bodies to make me money.
It is most telling how how control you have over woman when you can make them degrade themselves so much.

The proof is in the pudding. You are not bringing anything new to the table, but that does not mean that you cannot make money from it. So just make it and release it, then see where it goes.

It's a bit more complicated than he owning a brothel, but yes, he has to run a brothel. The daughters being of college age don't really need raising but yeah, they live together. So it's more like them dealing with the situation. Can't really say much without just spoiling.

But they do, there is stepcest in it. It's just not the only possible route because there are other LIs. It's up to the player.

Second question: How do you intent to do the brothel management.

Not sure what you mean because it's kind of a very broad question but I'll try. First, if I also add the morals system it will change what and how you can do it. If I don't add the morals system then the default version of it will be the "good path", which is a clean high class brothel where the girls do it willingly. Your job is to find these girls willing to do the job and train them. Then choosing the right girl for the right customer to get the most amount of money and reputation. I'd compare it to the hotel management from Mystwood Manor but I don't want to scare people off, since I don't plan to make it as... grindy?... as that. With the morals system if you get low enough moral you can do things in a less... savory manner...

Indeed, I wasn't expecting making anything ground breaking for my first game, but yeah, seems like it will be better to just release something that explains itself better than any text pitch I can write. I just wanted to avoid making another one of many abandoned projects if it doesn't pan out and then getting reputation for not finishing games
