Gakko no Monogatari is a leap forward that is immediately noticeable when comparing it to the previous work. The implementation of the right side bar, in particular, is a testament to this advancement. Unlike the lackluster sidebar in Corpo Life, this feature has been reimagined into a genuinely useful tool, providing players with easy access to essential information and enhancing gameplay fluidity.
There is, however, a noticable sense of favoritism towards the character Remu. While this personal connection from the developer injects life and passion into the game, it also poses a potential narrative imbalance. As the game promises multiple branching storylines, a disproportionate focus on a single character may detract from the overall experience. Narrative diversity is crucial, and characters like Mei and Ema deserve more than a cursory role. They shouldn't be relegated to mere sexual encounters devoid of depth; each character should be woven into the story with the same care and attention to detail as Remu.
I'm impressed with the game's overall presentation. It's clear a lot of thought and care went into its creation, resulting in a well-crafted and enjoyable experience.
As a suggestion for future development, I'd like to see more gameplay elements, such as school brawls and crew management, to add a richer, more game-like layer to the experience, moving it beyond the scope of a traditional visual novel.
To the developer, you've done a fantastic job with this game. It's an outstanding accomplishment, and I'm excited to see what you do next. Best of luck, and thank you for this amazing game. Cheers!
