Ive played the last 4 versions.
I love the visuals of the game it fits great for what kind of game it is.
This one also has great voice acting which is quiet refreshing since most dont have so much of it.
Cant wait to try the full version!

Good game in its parts. Platformer games are hard to make unique and this one hits on that in a few areas like the powerup and item systems. Animations are really detailed for pixel art, and the few CGs ive seen look good. development speed is alright. They need to get it all compiled but once that happens, top 10 easily for me. I give it 4 out of 5. once finished It may be a 5.

Ok for a side-view platformer, I guess. If you don't like things like grotesque monster rape on female at all don't bother. The final straw for me was its window wouldn't fit on my desktop and apparently there's no way around this other than playing it on a tv, which I can't do over 95% of the time and people shouldn't be expected to do with a porn game like this. It also did the cutest little thing with a monitor I had that was actually slightly larger than the game's window where it put the entire taskbar up above the screen so you can't position the window at all Also, computers will try to load it in Winrar if you have that on them at times. Seems to suggest compatibility issues of some kind:a little odd for something that's been around as long as Windows 7.

This is the best platformer we have at the moment. Fully voice-acted, which is more than I can say for any other genre. I'm looking forward to a final release. This isn't so much a recommendation for this game right now as it is to say "don't play any of the other ones."

Awesome Dev, awesome game.
The action is fun, the animations are sexy and there is a lot of voice acting in the game, a very complete game experience all in all.
Also it has some very cool innovative mechanics, like changing the gravity, and some of the sex-machines functionalities.
If you like Side-scrollers or metroidvania games, this game is definetly for you!
5/5 will buy on Steam.

There are very few games on this website that I genuinely am eager for the game to be finished, not for the sexy scenes but the game itself. From the small bits of story we have seen through the updates, the story seems like its actually going to be interesting. The gameplay mechanics seem to be more like a true metroidvania game than a simple adult game.

Yes, there are sex scenes in both the sprite animation as well as some newer cutscenes which are good and all, but for once, these things are not the driving factor in terms of wanting to play the actual game.

I think their method of not releasing "the whole game so far" like many do in updates was smart. You get small tastes of the game but you dont get enough to get your rocks off and then just say screw it, good enough. You only get little snippets of the game and it keeps you wanting more after every update.

This game has keyboard controls and also works very well with a controller. I generally use an old Xbox 360 controller that I use a USB adaptor for and it works really well for this game and I find it actually makes the controls easier to manage. Makes sense for a metroidvania style game as those are not exactly designed with a keyboard and mouse in mind.

One of those games that being drag on with hardly any updates. just repost from the past updates. It fun to play at first. Sort of a copy and paste of other Side-scrolling games hacks & slash. If you plan on playing it. better wait till it full game. no new h-scene in the past 3y.
Say you can reuse old maps. I've tried doing this but it doesn't seem to work. more like grab an older ver of the game to play on those map.

Future Fragments is an excellent platformer with amazing in-game scenes. This game doesn't really use CGs for scenes, the scenes with enemies are animations. One gripe I have is scenes are largely for losing, which can be annoying. This is mitigated by there being frequent save rooms so there usually isn't much backtracking if you die. The controls are tight and the levels are definitely well designed with the powers in mind. Overall as long as this is fleshed out I can see it being one of the best games of its type.

Future Fragments is the embodiment of quality. With such an organized team and schedule, the FF devs have managed to create an adult game that actually tries to be a game without shying from the porn aspects in any way whatsoever. In addition, FF may be the first time that I didn't have to fear an adult game being abandoned mid-development or being dragged on unnecessarily for years due to how transparent the development process is.

Fantastic game. Can't wait for the final product! I especially love the voice acting, and the pixel art is just detailed enough to be hot as fuck! HentaiWriter has been very engaged here too, which is super cool.

I'm generally not too much of a fan of platformers, but just looking at the details, the animations and voice acting are all superb you'll really feel that a lot of time and effort was put into creating this. Looking forward to how this game ends up, keep up the good work and cheers

really fun game. not boring. the animations are everything you want in an xrated verson of megaman. okay i guess there could be some kind of weapon pickup system when you kill enemies and joystick/gamepad support but thats just me being picky. i'm sure they're working on it.. cant wait til its complete!

Future fragments is one of those hentai games that almost makes you forget it's a h-game. It's a Megaman inspired action platformer with a sexy twist.
It features 5 levels filled with puzzles and enemies, enemies which are completely original and well thought out.

Each enemy has different attack patterns and 2 different sex animations, and one level usually features 5 or so different enemies + a boss.
Enemies all fit to the theme of the level and they do so well.

Gameplay is smooth and the platforming is what you would expect from a platformer. Jumping feels responsive and veteran platformer players will love it (Like myself)

The puzzles are not in every level, but from what I've seen in the electric level, the gravity puzzle didn't feel bad at all. It can get a bit frustrating, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes almost too easy.

Sound design and voice acting are just as good. Talia's voiceover is well done, and I can only say good for the others. Music is original and doesn't sound repetitive, it transitions smoothly.

This game is filled with content, sex and cheesy jokes. All in all, a game worth checking out and supporting on

This is a rare masterpiece among adult games.
First, the reason you're all here, the porn and fetishes:
I saw maybe 30-40 scenes in the electric level with varying quality. Tons and tons of fetishes. Getting to most of the porn requires falling to a particular enemy or the end boss. You can also unlock a gallery after beating the latter. 9/10
Gameplay: I generally hate the Castlevania genre but I loved this one. It can feel a little punishing on the "normal" difficulty but there's also an "easy" option for us casuals. Powerups dramatically change the feel of levels when replaying them and there's a big skill ceiling. 10/10
Gameplay length: It took me 6 hours or so to beat the Electric level twice. 4 the first time, 2 after I knew what I was doing.
Voice-acting: I expected the typical mediocre indie stuff, instead I got pretty much AAA voice-acting. Seriously, the VA talent in this game is better than Skyrim's. 10/10
Replayability: Surprisingly high. There are a lot of cute little easter eggs and player choice during cutscenes makes a HUGE difference from what I saw.
Story: It's mostly given through dialogue and audiologs. Pretty generic cyberpunk stuff on the surface with at least 2 more layers below that. Hints and nods are sprinkled around for the observant to find. 8/10

Conclusion: Came for the porn, stayed for the gameplay and awesome characters.

Future Fragments is my favorite eroge metroidvania I've played so far. It's western, so no censorship bullshit. Very good animations and it even has voice acting which gives life to the characters. Really looking forward to buy it when it's finished (sadly I can't afford it on Patreon right now). Also the creator is cool about piracy and takes feedback from this forum, which is a great trait for a developer. Much love, great game.

It can hold on itself as a good game even without the lewd content, not that it lacks it. The art is strangely good. Not high-res, but the animations make up for it. The polish given to the gameplay is great. It is evident that the devs have actually put care into making the game the best they can. The puzzles are involving and with a diverse set of powers and enemy types the gameplay doesn't get boring. The story is engaging and the scenes don't seem forced.

if you are looking for sci-fi ,mega man, animated, platformer game that has animations as smoth as butter,great controls,voice acted,mechanics, choice,level design ,etc and more importantly a Goood H-SCENES (+game overs) this what you gonna want

you can either trust someone or kill them in the game and that's not something you can find everyday

you have wide range of power ups

there is freedom that you are not forced to do mission objectives in order

graphics and the art is best in its kind(by kind i ment games like aster,erico re,anthophobia ,etc)

story in one word is rich

there is too much to tell how much time the developer (hentai writer) put in this master piece

Great game! Very hot scenes, challenging gameplay, and intriguing story. Definitely worth checking out. Boss seems to be a bit of a step up from normal difficulty from the various mobs. Interesting to see how interactions will change as you run across different characters depending on which information terminals you've read.

Really great plaform shooter with puzzle elements, you can see how much heartblood must be in the sprites/animation.
The base mechanics are really solid reminiscent of megaman X which is for me still a gold standard in this genre.

The Story is mostly told by the dialogue between the characters, additionally there is a lot of lore in the collectibles, even with voiceover and main character commentary.
The 3 main characters are all smoking hot and there seems to be a lot to still find out about them. Most H scenes are with Talia but theres also a bit Faye.
Hopefully we will see some Vie action in the future as well.

The puzzles are generally dependant on the stage, because each stage has a basic mechanic unique to it, but there are also some more challenging platform elements that could count as puzzles.

The Sexy comes both in CG and sprite form, the CG are the game over scenes (1 scene per enemy with multiple images)
and sprites come both when an enemy or trap grabs you, but there are also some extra scenes that come with sidestory when you make specific decisions.
The sexy covers a really wide variety of situations, hitting a lot of kinks.

Especially the extra scenes were really amazing, because they had multiple stages and dialogue.

All in all its a game that could be played without the H but shouldnt because that would be a huge waste of all the blood, sweat and tears put into that part.

TL;DR original review from 3 Jan 2016: What I look for in a game is a complete game, and with that I do not mean it having finished being under development. This means a game that has every part, every aspect and combines it neatly into a fun, immersive experience. Future Fragments has just that, from visuals to sound effects, cutscenes, action and gameplay.

Skipping to 2024, after years in development the final product or rather "soft release" is disappointing. To reiterate my very first review in 2016:

Visuals: Still neat, yet objectively eclipsed by the passage of time.

Sound effects: These are still quite good, yet there will always be this pervading sense that there could have been more.

Cutscenes: After so many years this should have been a content buffet in terms of cutsenes, instead priority was given to seemingly endless walls of flavour text.

Action: Still liking the action in the game, nothing feels unfair and the enemies and bosses do keep you on your toes.

Gameplay: Metroid games focused on fast-paced gameplay and Future Fragments does too. It is just a bit unfortunate that with the time given, none of the core gameplay features were significantly expanded or added on. More power-up charms I consider to be the bare minimum and that is what we received.

Overall Future Fragments will always be known as a game which left many confused, divided and frustrated. It is unfortunate to see it started out as a very solid and qualitative concept, only for it to be plagued by inorganic overhauls in the tone and general direction of the game. The team's skill and talent is there, I am just hoping for the next game it is directed more clearly and concisely.
