so you play as a male but all scenes take place from the futa, with some having the male watching? like why bother with the male protag? seems unnecessary to me and just a way to throw NTR into it. I'd rather just play as the futa.

I agree with you completely there is no point of a male mc just let us play as the futa would have been better
You don't have to see it that way, just don't empathize with the protagonist, look at it as something that doesn't affect you, not everyone who plays this type of game sides with the protagonist, there are people who side with the douche or the futa in this In case they prefer to see it as a story of infidelity or a drama, you can play a leading role as a player without empathizing with him to see different points of view.
And now regarding the game, it is very noticeable that the game has been created with the idea of being netorase since the ntr part lacks a lot of context, also the ntr scenes are much worse than the netorase ones in my opinion

Honestly, to me the netorase part feels weirder to me then the netorare one. Mostly because the MC does nothing with his girlfriend, even knowing she isn't all innocent.
Also Sayako's comments in Kana's scenes after the 1st village feel more like netorare to me. Less "MC let's me fuck his girlfriend" and more "I am going to fuck and corrupt this girl and MC might watch"
All in all, MC and Kana becoming a couple feels...unnecessary, since they hardly interact afterwards.
I don't get why it's a question really. Some people like getting cucked and seeing from the cuck PoV. Might not be the case for everyone into cuck PoV porn but for the majority I'd say that's the case. Though I bet a fair bit just see it as a futa x female porn game and don't really care about the cuck part also as they will not care about the male protag.
I mean the story part, if we talk about character design, it is true that the protagonist is too open-minded not to have had a relationship, the thing would be that at first it was ntr and that the protagonist begins to discover his kink through their party while sayoko has her fun they don't really have a romantic relationship and then to the end he realizes that he likes to see sexual intercourse and can be more open to sharing his girlfriend in the end
Or if we go through a ntr route, the same thing , Yuki is a lesbian so it is impossible to have a relationship with the mc and he can be a great accomplice to corrupt the whole party and in the end as a target for Kana, everything can be compatible
As the game asks you at the beginning, you can take a role of ntr or netorase without creating two parallel stories and it would also help the development of the scenes and also be able to focus on the other characters because all the scenes of kana can be used for a netorase route that for ntr the only thing is to change something in the dialogue to make it neutral

hmm then I will hold it for now, who know how the story will evolve later. The idea of FUTA NTR be it netorare or netorase is interesting but developer statement make me wonder the direction of this game

There is an issue where I can not change the Sound Effects Volume!! Changing the Slider on the SE option does not work... I think it's broken or something. Rest of the sliders are working fine. Need to fix this in next update please...
