Here's a pitch for a game idea I've had for a while. I'm making this post to spread buzz about it and see if people would actually be interested if I went and made it.

I was surprised to learn of the lack of Fairy Tail porn games so I've decided to take it upon myself to do it. I've taken heavily from games like Kunoichi Trainer and Corrupted Hearts for this game. The plot of it is simple, you're the newest male member of the Fairy Tail guild, sometime after the final arc of the show. As the player, you find an odd shop in the dark alley of town, the shop sells love potions, lust spells, even food and objects that can transform a person's entire appearance and personality. The player takes full advantage of the shop's items, using them to mold the women of Fairy Tail and beyond into his perfect harem.

The bulk of the game is romancing girls like Lucy and Erza, but another big part is the transformation items. The only two I know for sure will be an item that makes the girls bulk up with muscle, and the rock of succubus transformation spell from the show. I'd like to have entire scenes that go in depth of each transformation. Although the transformation stuff would be entirely optional.

This game will be made with renpy, I'm teaching myself the engine and I'm learning it quite quickly. There's no real demo yet and it's still in the planning stages, the main reason as I said for posting this was to spread buzz about this idea.

please let me know if you're interested in this game idea of mine. I'd love to have a demo before I talk about it but without an artist I'd just use some images from the anime itself and that would feel wrong to me. If you are intrigued by this idea please reply and tell me so, it will really motivate me to keep going.

It's been a while, and I've since found an artist and starting writing up a demo in renpy, Here's the main menu image with an example of the artist's work (note: the background is just taken from the show):

I had to google "fairy tail guild" as I had no idea what you were talking about. my anime powers are weak.

As you have correctly identified, the success of a project like this is 95% related to the quality of the art. So your primary task must be finding an artist who can produce in the style of the original, and a way that you can pay them enough to make the 100s of images needed for the game. The renpy aspects should be relatively easy, and it sounds like you already have story ideas - although don't underestimate the challenge of writing detailed dialogue scripts that are authentic to the original show.

Just tried the demo, and it's looking pretty good right now. Probably the only advice I'd have is that it feels way too grindy at the start, just repeating D Rank quests and then going to sleep until you can buy potions.
Though part of that is probably me being lazy and not bothered to do any of that lmao.

In hindsight I knew I should've lowered things at least for the demo.

If this becomes a thing, include pregnancies and an android port so people on all platforms can enjoy your content.
