I hope we get some good news in 2023 and he gets released. It's really astonishing how Epoch was able to make such quality renderings years ago that are still among the best today. And the stories were interesting too. Just think what level he would have achieved with the current improved software and hardware.

I think that sounds the end the ximpus has not given any news to the various comments for more than two years.
he had had a problem with the site and had an old backup without the explanation letter and now the site is no longer available with valid certificates.

this sounds strange to me because I had discovered his site at the same time as that of detomasso and these two artists inspired me and motivated me to make 3d art for me too without ever reaching their respective talents.

whether he comes back or not, I wish him to have found the inner peace that we all seek sometimes without knowing it. that his family and his friends have stayed by his side and that he will overcome his demons/weakness and that he has success in his life.

He might be out (it was a seven year sentence and that was five years ago), but if he is, there isn't word anywhere to that effect.

UPDATE: Here's a commenter post from his website dated July 2023, which seems to quote the legal text. Take it with a grain of salt, but he seems to know:

and if anyone wants an update. epoch tried to get a Reduced Sentence due to covid in 2020. but was denied. and the court files show it’s a pretty messed up crime he did commit.

Also all i will say is once he is out of jail. he can Not use or possess devices which can communicate data via modem or dedicated connection and may not have access to the Internet without prior approval from the court or the probation officer. The offender shall consent to the installation of systems that will enable the probation officer to monitor computer use on any computer owned or controlled by the offender.

forgot to add. Upon release from imprisonment, the defendant shall be on supervised release for a term of:
EIGHT (8) YEARS.
