You need bash, and imagemagick.

I can understand the file host thing(most file host sites that don't meet the criteria are practically scams to make money) but can I ask why password-protected archives are not allowed?Is it because some people use it to upload fake data(ie:the archive is filled with some nonsense/viruses instead what the file name says) and wastes bandwidth of downloaders?But it also protects the content from DMCAs and copyright claims, no?

There are several reasons, but the biggest IMO is that our forum is about sharing the games; We know many of our files/links are reposted by several other websites, blogs, and forums, and we don't want people getting content from there to not be able to open it.
