    Review of final version

This is just incredible. One of the best visual novels I've ever played. There's very little adult content, and indeed I highly doubt anyone has ever masturbated to this game, but what is there works beautifully with the narrative. The hand-drawn art is fantastic. Play this game, you won't be disappointed. Don't use the guide on your first playthrough, it's more fun to try and make the right choices yourself first time around, and you need to do multiple playthroughs to find all the endings, lore and understand the characters anyway. It's relatively short so doing multiple playthroughs isn't a problem.

Banger yandere story, the only good one from the west and one of the only good ones in general, played this like 5 years ago and had the time of my life, best art style from all her games, big recommend.

WARNING: MY ENGLISH CAN BE ROUGH

Looked around for a good story 2dcg game and this really hit. I thought that the MC was interesting... he is toooo real ngl. This game had really few NSFW scenes and that didnt even really bother me, cause of the good story. The art style was really good too.
Overall: Great game, could be more scenes but its not that important.

It's my favourite Visual Novel out there. Truth be told I don't dabble much in anime nor in the yandere genre so this might have had a greater effect on me, that being that I was deeply touched and moved by the emotional depth.

I even love the artstyle, it's not as cutesy as some anime stuff goes for and Lizzi is classically beautiful.

Warmest recommendations to everyone, the game is quite short

    (Version Reviewed: Completed Game)

Played the game more out of the interest in the dev's work rather than due to an interest in the synopsis. I found myself enjoying the story as we progressed the story. Lizzie is insane and a yandre. I do not consider such LIs to be something that I'm interested in, but Lizzie managed to make me love her. I loved the idea of the perpetually greyscale background of story (until the end). The lewds aren't great, but they definitely enhance the story. Game has several endings and I enjoyed discovering all of them.

To all those who haven't played the game yet. Please do. It's a great story that should not be missed (as long as you can handle yanderes and insane LIs). Overall, I'd rate it at 9/10.

This was one of the few Steam games that I actually bought the official copy of, it was that good! Although sex is not at the forefront of this game, the story alone was more than enough to win me over and be worth replaying just to see all the routes I could take.

This is a very "girl written" game. The characters are quite deep. I also just finished one of the best rated stories on this site and its characters were way worse than the ones here. This VN is just very sympathetic to all the characters here in a way that you don't see in male-written games, even the ones with good writing. Everything feels really realistic, even though the situation is absurd and out there, it feels realistic in context. The characters act according to the logic of the world and don't feel like they're just dolls set up to give you something to touch and discard. They're their own thing, which is really excellent and immersive.

But the reason why I call this very "girl written" is because guys don't actually like that, they kinda just want sex dolls who pander to them, so they never try to do this. Coming out of this I feel like I had an "interesting experience" that I would want to tell my friends (if it were real) instead of a powertrip sex dream that I would keep private as from the typical f95 VN.

It's very short, but it also has the best written yandere I've ever seen.

It's very common that yanderes are somewhat flanderized into being very one-note characters; think "love stab blood repeatrepeatrepeatrepeatrepeat look at me I'm so crazy". Crimson Gray's yandere does have shades of this, but the story also makes it clear that she does follow a specific logic instead of twisting every possible situation into killing someone for breathing in the same hemisphere as her love and then killing him for the sake of said love. You know it's well designed when I got a good ending (not the true one but hey) first time around without any walkthrough just by paying attention and making assumptions based on the idea of the heroine being a person with agency and goals instead of a set piece.

Very well done and very worth playing. Took me about 2 hours to 100% it, so if you like yanderes there's really nothing stopping you from giving it a spin.

A great Yandere game if you haven't heard of this one yet and that's your thing I'd recommend it.

There are a wide variety of endings with bad/good?/good outcomes. Don't want to say too much because it's worth experiencing on your own. I purchased the steam version after playing it because I thought it was unique enough to warrant the purchase.

There's only a few sex scenes but it's honestly such a good story that I didn't really mind it. I had a lot of fun trying to get all of the different endings.
The art is great and so is the music too, it was really engaging.

It's finally been done?? Somebody made a yandere VN that isn't complete mindless garbage...

Crimson grey is a dramatic VN about a psychopathic and obsessive girl and a depressed boy, sometimes he dies sometimes she dies yet it keeps it's self grounded in reality for the most part. This leads to the game being a pretty interesting read as these themes are pretty rarely explored, there's also a decent amount of route variance for a game with only 2 characters (including mc) with 4-5 different endings and like 20 places to bad end.

Basically its a entertaining VN that's pretty short they could of done with a lot more explanation on well pretty much everything. As the game has a lot of random ass unexplained men in black type shit, and other strange things that are not explained .
Even with all this its still far more grounded and coherent than any other yandere content I've seen ( and that's a lot)

Pretty good game 9/10 if your into this kinda shit .

P.S the game is very low on sex content not a coomer game

Crimson Gray is an excellent visual novel that explores the themes of depression really well, along with a yandere character that's more grounded in reality compared to other visual novels.
It's definitely a must-read, and I recommend that you experience all the routes at least once as most of them are not just other routes with different flavor text, significant amounts of the novel change route-to-route as you make different choices.

A great yandere girlfriend game, more about the "story" than the porn, and it's really great at constantly keeping the feeling of "something is wrong with this girl" during most of it.

Recommanded obviously if you like yandere !

Great yandere heroine based game. If you were like me and looking for yandere games then this is one of the best you will find. there are many different multiple paths/endings. Complex story line in the darker routes and there is a good amount of thought given to the mc and his relationship with the heroine. cgs are decent and has h scenes. great work again from sierra lee wish there were more like this

An excellent VN about a cripplingly depressed MC and the unstable perfectly fine yandere girlfriend he ends up getting. Rating in order.

Lewd stuff: It's fine but there's only a couple scenes. If you are looking for a game to pleasure yourself with keep looking. The lewd scenes are nicely written and illustrated, but short and used as enhancers for the story and not a focus.

Gameplay: It's a VN. Not much gameplay to speak of.

Art: The backgrounds are nicely illustrated, the titular yandere looks great, and art changes to reflect her mood and response to your actions.

Story: Finally what anyone came for. The story is fantastic and going through the various main routes already has several hours of content as you learn about these 2 broken people and how they come to terms with that. I don't want to say more because most of the experience in these things comes from going through it yourself; suffice to say it is a very satisfying, well wrapped up story.

Overall 5/5. The only problem I have with Crimson Gray is that I want more of it.

    This was actually rather good.

I started after a while of playing this to feel really drained. I've got a bit of a tendancy towards depression and the thoughts of the MC and everything being gray and hopeless was getting to me a bit ... plus while I was trying to do everything I could to help the girl it felt like I wasn't getting it right ... then when I thought oh god, I've fully gone and messed it all up - it actually turned out well, I almost couldn't believe it ... I was real happy about that.

It said that's not the only way but I've gone back and tried different stuff and just been hit with bad ends, I guess my yandere tactic of just being equally good and devoted to the girl paid off the first time, I'll probably just resort to spoiling ti for myself to see what else you can make happen.

So yeah it's very much what it says on the tin, so it should be fairly easy for folks to decide if they're into it or not.

    LOVE THIS

the story is great very exciting! there's some intense part which makes me nervous but the out come always makes me more motivated to read more.

If you're looking for intense sex this is not what you're looking for. But if you appreciate good story more than the H scene this is a must for you.

I love this game. It's unique, emotional, and it has a ton of choices that change how the game plays out. It's a story first game, so there isn't much in the way of erotic content. That's not a complaint, as I think it's perfect the way that it is.

This is a really sweet story about two broken people trying to make each other happy. Yet, it's also completely terrifying. Lizzie is extremely volitile, and trying to choose the right thing to say is very stressful. I've played it over a dozen times, and whenever things go wrong, I always feel as if it were my fault and that I let Lizzie down. So I restart and keep searching for the perfect path. There are a lot of interesting variations in the story, and the game isn't terribly long, so replaying it is quite enjoyable. I'm very impressed at how the author could make a crazed stalker into a someone that you care for.

The first game I've ever felt the need to review.

    (SPOILER FREE!)

While my initial intention was to simply play this for the porn and spooks (yandere best dere), I found myself surprised. Within the first five minutes, I realised this game was special. I don't know if it was the creator's intent, but I've never related to a game's protagonist quite as much as I did to John. The art was beautiful and blended with the music (though supplied royalty-free courtesy of Kevin MacLeod) to create a wonderfully surreal yet intimate experience.

The game certainly wouldn't be for everyone; there wasn't nearly as much erotic content as I'd expected, in fact, I believe there's only two scenes and you can very easily miss one of them.

I was fortunate enough to get the 'good' ending on my first playthrough, and I feel confident that, after save-scumming to see the other endings, I found the only fulfilling conclusion. Assuming, of course, you become as attached to John and Lizzie as I did.

If you have a couple of hours to kill, don't mind dark themes and emotional rollercoasters then I can't recommend Crimson Gray enough. Even if it doesn't arouse you, it leaves you emotionally invested enough to see it through to the (potentially bitter-sweet) end.

One of the first Visual Novels i've ever played, even though i've played others after that, Crimson Gray still one my favorites, i like how it explores the theme of depression, and also, Lizzie is my favorite crazy girl
