This game really grabbed me at first. It had a dark theme, with our heroine navigating her way through various dangers (monsters and human) in the apocalyptic world she inhabited. The art was superb. As was the music.

Sadly, as I got deeper into the game I sensed the developers begin to lose their way. Later stages are dominated by futa, barnyard animals, and Claire dressing up in various animal costumes to interract with the like. The dark theme and struggling heroine that had so appealed to me were gone, now replaced by something almost akin to slapstick.

There is plenty to enjoy before you get to that point. But whereas it was an easy 5 early on, it is a 3 or less for me in the later stages. And, unless they tack back on course, I fear it is only heading further down.

Honestly this is one of my favorite h games. I come back time and time again. I usually play through most of the game again each update. It has a good MC who you can build to be whoever you want. It has a bunch of solutions to most problems encountered. It has a fantastic creator. Finally, it has my favorite setting: fantasy Middle Ages. All in all, 10/10. Definitely will play again and again.

I've been following clairs quest for quite some time now, and I like how it developed over time. Updates can be somewhat slow, but that is because the developer is working on two games at the same time, so he divides is resources between those two games. And while I like Overgrown I adore Claire's Quest. I like the art style, I like the effort put into the world building, I like that the story isn't on tracks but rather unfolds more organicaly as I explore the world.

This is one of the few games that utilizes RPGM in all the right ways. There is no grindy combat to level up, depending on your stats you have multiple routes to solve different tasks as you can seduce your way through the plot, sneak and steal through it or - to some minor extend - fight through it, albeit not in the typical RPGM-fashion. Defiance 0 and slime will eat you. Defiance 1 and you just stomp on it. If you haven't invested enough into a specific task it can lock you out from certain pathes though. But you won't be able to get everything with one playthrough anyway, as even the beginning can differ significantly, and each route is exclusive to all other routes.

The progress the developer made while working on this game is also reflected by constant under-the-hood-refinements, complete map-reworks and story-teaks.

And while the artwork was somewhat rough at the beginning it improved rather quickly and every new update released there is more of it. I've had my fair share of anime-style VN/RPGM games, and most 3dcg-games seem to use the same character models, so I really appreciate a western game having hand-drawn characters.

All in all this is IMHO one of the best western RPGM-games floating around at this time.

    V0.18.4

    TLDR
    - Nice model and very good scenes
    - Interesting character stats (intrigue, defiance, seduction and depravity ?)
    - Interesting story with multiple paths

It really improved since the early "launch", the revamp and everything was all worth it.
I'd rate it 4* but there isn't so many good western RPGM H-games so let's over rate it a bit.

Very very good game, lots of potential, and already done a lot. Good quests, with different paths, quests "communicate" in a certain ways. Good main character, can be fragile, but stronger too. I like the characters in general. Strongly recommend

I don't like to review games that are nowhere near completion, but sometimes exceptions must be made.

Claire's Quest is easily in the Top 5 of RPGM games, with real potential to become even better.

Claire's Quest offers you unprecedented freedom of choice. Suffice to say that the prologue chapter leads up to four distinct paths, and apparently the developer entertains the possibility of a fifth!

CQ is the open world adult RPG.

This is like the game's superpower. Oh, and did I mention it has none of the grindy bullshit? That's right, no tedious combat, only questing and fucking.

However, there is no overarching plot, at least so far. Curiously, this is a stark contrast from another game by this dev that has a neatly wrapped story, but railroads you hard most of the time.

Of course, no game is perfect and CQ has some flaws. In fact, it has quite a few imperfections, but most of them are so minor that I can't dock any points. Still...

Art is not bad, but... it's not stellar, merely decent. This is the biggest sore point, CQ deserves much better in my opinion. Same goes for the sex scene writing, it's kinda meh especially compared to the rest of the game.

Some of the mechanics are not really serving any real purpose besides being annoying. Disabling running when energy reaches 0, for one. When you think of it, the whole hunger/energy system does not work really well after you get out of the prologue.

I could name several more, but the main strength of the game carries it to the top despite all the imperfections.

9 out of 10 right now.

    TL;DR:
(Disclaimer: the game is in-developmet as I have reviewed it. The review will be updated/revisited after it is finalized)
    Pros -
    1. A grind-free RPG with multiple choices throughout the entire game. ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? Literally a VN with more choices than any other single MC based VN.
    2. This game covers vast amount of fetishes and the most unimaginable ones, you have to give a Thumb-Up for that.
    3. Appealing Western art style (not the best, but you can appreciate that)
    4. Fair amount of playtime for all the Scenes

    Cons -
    1. If you prefer art, this might not have the MUST-SEE top quality art for your eyes.
    2. This pit of fetishes goes deep and vast, this is a HELLHOLE, so GET OUT before you fill your room in vomits...
    3. Seriously, I got nothing more, man.

    Honest Opinion:
I don't think anyone can question the quality of this game when it comes to the amount of choices and branches it offers. The vast variety of fetishes also makes this game more intriguing than the rest. What surprises me most is that a Western developer would go this far into the art department as not to use "standard common 3D CGs/Modeling programs", and hire artists to do their own 2D.

What would actually make it a top quality? Add in some voice acting and SE, refine a bit more on the art, and hopefully see more variations in plots & endings. I understand why there are people not in favor of this suggestion, but honestly, where else can we fill a hole?

It is a good game atm and may we see the best of it as it is further developed.

(Updated: as a hindsight, this is one of the few western developers that can offer products that can nearly match OneOne1's production, in the fetish department, hence I do want to see them improving and dethrone OneOne1. Guess VA is the last step? Unless the developer is looking forward to conquer them in the animation department. Frankly, I don't see it happening any time sooner)

Loved it a RPG game not centered around combat with multiple choices
Based on different attributes and the gradually changing profile is a nice touch
story is great(I'm a sucker for the whole humiliation and slave dynamic)
The art is gorgious normally i pass on Western cg but this looks hot a decent length so far
Just a very high quality game that is definitely worth downloading

Excellent Sprite and Artwork, very good storyline it leaves options to solve and it have different outcome depending on the character traits. It works for window 7 32 bit, that's a plus most just gone for 64 bit higher and ultra memory requirements.

Claire's Quest is an impressive game, with titillating art. I enjoy the absence of combat. The devs have made good use of the RPG Maker engine.

User agency is respected, and the lewd acts are exciting!
    Thanks!

This game has a really good introduction that let you think that finally you found THE real ero rpg in which you really are in control of your heroine path.

The game explains you that you have to be careful about your choices 'cause it will affect your character experience. It's not a lie but… it only affects it in a bad way.

Effectively as usual, if you want to have some content you need to play as a slut… again. Like every other games of this kind.

Every events that occurs after 30 min of gameplay require you to have this stat at this level and there isn't any alternative involving sex.

Once you clear the actual game content, you understand that you have to be a slut or the game is blend.

    meh...

This review is written as of version 17.2.

Overall, a very solid game. It's an RPG Maker game that is pretty open world. It starts off with a focused story and then sort of dilutes into a "Claire is a good adventurer who wants to help everyone" type of gameplay. If you love rape and corruption, this is the game for you. It also has monster sex/bestiality in it if that's your thing. The game really is a puzzle on how to figure out how to raise your stats in order to unlock quests/scenes.

There's a very big false advertisement here though: the overview says that it's devoid of any grinding. It is true that you don't grind on enemies as there is no combat in this game, but the game is very grind heavy. It's grind heavy in a sense that you run out of energy quickly and you find yourself constantly walking to inns and grinding money just to buy food to sate your hunger. Even though there's heavy grinding, the scenes are great, but you're definitely sinking hours of time just to unlock stuff.

Another issue with the game is that it lacks some QoL stuff that you see in other games. Cuz of the money grind, you're pretty much forced to see the same scene over and over again. There's no option to skip scenes you've already seen before. There's no option to change the speed of the text too. And sometimes it can feel frustrating trying to figure out how to raise a stat up to unlock new quests.

If you play this game normally, it looks like you can permanently miss stuff. Without cheats, the game is encouraging you to play over and over again which really sucks if there's no New Game+ option to allow you retain your stats.

If you're looking for a time sink with a rich open world story, this is the game for you. At the end of the day, there's still plenty of room for improvement though.

this game is great. it isn't just a pron game. it's a RPG game and I love RPGs
and I love the fact that the game is inspired by skyrim
the Artwork is great. I specially love the newer artist and the design of claire is great as well
The writing is good too and I love all the faction questlines from the breeders to rangers and shield maidens.(I don't really like the temple questline cause I'm not into futa)
besides that, I'm really hoping the game continues the main story with multiple endings like their other great game overgrown genesis
I strongly suggest supporting the patron because these kinds of game are extremely rare. I really hope this turns out into a massive functional RPG
    Altough I love the Art
I really hope you can finish the game with a pure run with a defiant claire
Since in RPGs I always try do my own playthrough without getting crroupted

One of the best titles on here. Terrific artwork, functional gameplay, coherent story. Few bugs to encounter, and several hours of content which expands with semi-regular updates. Loads of naughty sex and depravity; the creator is aiming to create a solid game.
    9/10 - will fap again.

If you like RPGM games you are going to like this one,
    it's as simple as that.

Story is great, gameplay is ,well, RPGM,
2DCG are great, there's a bit of reflection here and there, your actions have an influence on the story,

Was going to rate it 4/5 hen i hate a Mushroom, it turned into a 5/5

Claire's quest is a game with biazrro levels of production value, knocking many other RPGmaker games out of the park. It looks good, it has some hang ups in terms of playing and has pretty solid writing, even if the various NPCs can get pretty "Welcome to Corneia!" at times.

It is not a typical RPG game, though. While the character does have stats which determine various flags for scenes and scenarios, you aren't fighting goblins etc etc at all, it's more back and forth chatting. Little "meat" to the gameplay if that's a concern, but on the flipside it does mean everything happening is actually to a purpose instead of random trash mobs.

The English is good and actually well-worked on, which a lot more then could be said for many projects. The main issue I have with the game, personally, is that it's a lot of RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE. If you're into that whatever, but it got rather tiring. Not all of the content in the game is nonconsensual, just if Claire isn't defiant enough (a stat which I found rather difficult to raise through non-cheat functions) she'll be helpless on her back a fair bit. Also there's like three or four questlines of her being enslaved for a bit.

Beyond that, the biggest downside I have is that because the game is a work in progress, of course, there are a few deadends here and there and points that really ought to be gated off as they're simply not ready. Which are obvious and annoying as opposed to "heck I'm trapped in this dev space."

One of the few RPGMaker games that doesn't rely on the shitty default battle system for gameplay instead provividng meaningful choices to progress the story. Variety of scenes and high quality art are also of note.

    Eleum Loyce

One of the better RPGM games. The artwork and scenes are very well illustrated, the world building is surprisingly good, and there are no noticeable bugs or typos in dialogue. This game doesn't stray too far from the general formula of a female protagonist on a grand adventure who slowly gets corrupted, but it is executed well. The submenus, gallery, and particularly the quest log are implemented in a stylish and effective manner, with a little more quality than I'm used to seeing in an RPGM game. Worth a few hours playtime.

I'm glad to see more RPG maker porn games coming along and this one comes with actual player choice without annoying requirements. Dystopian Project is quickly becoming one of my favorite development teams.
