Create keyframe clips with VNGE. It's pretty easy after an hour or two of getting the hang of it. This channel is also the one behind MMDD, the imo best MMD mod for Illusion games. You can incorporate custom animations, effects, etc. into MMD dances. Way underutilized/underexplored, imo.
Also, check out the vid for their mod HS2StudioCharaEditor, which lets you edit, save, load characters directly in Studio, featuring whatever lighting etc. you want. You never have to launch the program called "Honey Select 2" ever again.
