    uhhhuhhhfuckinuhhh

here is a play by play review of BeastBeat for the Nintendo Computer by some deranged ass rhythm gamer

    animations
honestly these are fine. i think the actual quality of the animation has degraded for the last few but they're pretty good, especially the interactive ones. the gallery is a nice feature and mostly works. large bell is probably the worst one because of the cum effect just looking gross and the ui is just kinda hard to see due to the light background. sadly you need to play the game to unlock the animation viewers but it's kinda worth if you like gay furry porn? the viewer used to be really shitty for scawlet and just kinda broke but it works now. it's all live2d if that matters.
SFW mode is barely SFW. you just get clothing on the characters and they don't advance with the animation, but it does have the suggestive huge ass furry men. for the newer stages where the animations only feature sex, such as intersect, BAD END, and Wyrmheart, which just have static splash screens with the logo. bottom line is that you probably shouldn't play this game in a public setting due to the artwork being suggestive regardless if you're playing in SFW or NSFW mode.

    soundtrack
    NoCopyrightSounds my goat
the music is mostly otogecore. so you have been warned. what this means is that the songs are mostly high energy music game songs with the exceptions being only the copyright free songs and lo-fi track "INTERSECT."
ardolf makes pretty good music, his commissions for the Trute songs, XURRENDER and BAD END are also pretty good. i think my favorite song is BAD END with Everlasting Bewitchment being a close second. dev_cubemap is also featured with two songs, intersect and union, and i love union. KURORAK's showing is also pretty strong with Game Mate. it's very subjective but i would say that the licensed music overall is pretty alright when you get past fucking NoCopyrightSounds. although honestly this isn't masturbatable music like i'm trying to bust a nut not a move!
    my tier list:
S: BAD END, Everlasting Bewitchment, Union
    A: Game Mate, Fallen Demon
    B: Take Our Time, Xurrender
C: Wild Water (labeled as Tentacle Orgy), Last Breath, Tomb Raider
    D: Summer Tune, Intersect
    E: Love Night

oh but the menu music just kinda sucks. happens i guess but you barely hear it

    gameplay
i need that gay furry porn 4k
who's about to be playing 4k with one hand while shlonking their shit silly to some high energy music. i don't think many people will be.
this game is corny as fuck, default notes are mars symbols with the lifebar being a cum gauge of sorts. while you can change it to bars, they're really big and clunky, so the default mars symbol notes are kind of better. you just need to turn the spacing way down (i play at 125). the speed is toggleable from 1.0 to 10.0, so everyone can read as fast or as slow as they want. but screen flash comes turned on, and makes the game unplayable when you're playing at a higher difficulty. while it's nice to look at for lowers, it is genuinely so straining when used on upper difficulties.
the difficulty curve sucks. your progression is Easy/Normal/Hell, and there's plenty of low level charts, but the one that surprises me most is Tentacle Orgy having the highest rated Easy chart when Game Mate is the hardest chart on Hell? interesting

    Summer Tune: 3/5/10
    Fallen Demon: 2/6/13
    Take Our Time: 2/6/10
    Everlasting Bewitchment: 3/7/12
    XURRENDER: 4/8/13
    Last Breath: 3/7/14
    Love Night: 3/5//12
    Wild Water/Tentacle Orgy: 5/8/11
    Game Mate: 4/6/16
    Tomb Raider: 4/9/15
    BAD END: 4/8/15
    intersect: 2/5/-
    union: 4/8/-
    Wyrmheart: 3/6/-

i don't really care about lower progression because it's easier and has a lot of chart coverage (I guess you could call me... a gamer) but the uppers are kind of shallow. you have two 10s, a single 11, two 12s, two 13s, a 14, two 15s, and a 16.
Summer Tune was recently added because it only had up to Normal back in the day. it's a fine enough chart that's really just 8th notes with some jacks. it is a super easy 10, and could probably even pass for a 9. The only thing hard about it is maybe how fast the jacks are for new players. maybe it's a good bridge between this and the other 10?
Take Our Time is the other 10, although it's much more interesting than Summer Tune because of its use of three-note chords, and actual use of 16th notes. it's charted to the rhyhthms in the song much better than Summer Tune, but it has a lot more going on than that song, to be fair. this one is definitely a 10 and honestly kind of fun.
Tentacle Orgy is the only 11 in the game. however, it is weirdly harder than Fallen Demon, a 13?? it has a weird basskey chord pattern that's hard for an 11, faster than Fallen Demon's basskey patterns which are 8ths at a higher constant BPM, but this is a 16th pattern. already, we can see an issue with the rating system if the one 11 in the game is harder than a 13.
Everlasting Bewitchment is one of the 12s and is my favorite chart in the game. it's a hold note chart, which means you need to hold down the specified key(s) while hitting other keys, or even other chords. thankfully, this game does not require you to release a hold note when it is done, which makes this chart a lot easier. it is a pretty tough 12, but maybe i'd even call it a 13? idk how to rate stuff but it feels harder than fallen demon
Love Night is the other 12 in the game, and is my least favorite song in the game. it seems like whoever was charting the 12s felt like 12s should be The Long Note Difficulty. it's even more of a long note chart, except i dislike the song and the chart is like, fine. its entire identity is long notes and i would say it is firmly a 12, if not for it being another long note chart.
Fallen Demon is Osu Mania Chord Jack but really it's like. a chord chart with an amount of basskey stuff in there. it might be personal bias coming in but it's genuinely not that hard, and doesn't have hold shenanigans that were present in the 12s. there's a few tricky spots for sure, but it's genuinely just a few standout sections. honestly, this feels misrated as hell just because it was out early and was a hard chart, so they decided to say it was a 13 and call it a day. i would either give this an 11 or a 12 rating.
XURRENDER is the most unique song in the game. it is the only song to feature scroll speed gimmicks, and it has them twice. it can be disorienting but it's a cool effect. the first half isn't bad, but the ending is genuinely such a killer. it spikes in difficulty at the second chorus, and it might be a reading skill issue with the holds rather than chords, but it is genuinely so much harder than Fallen Demon that i think Fallen Demon should just be moved down. this rating system is kinda stupid as i've said a few times.
Last Breath is the only 14 in the game, and is kind of the next step of hold gimmicks after 12s? you have plenty of 3-note chords to hit and hold a key down after hitting them, it's definitely a bit harder to read and does feel like a "14." the choruses are the hard parts but i enjoy the uniqueness in the charting style here, sort of baiting you with slow jacks until the "slow" chords get harder and harder to read and execute.
Tomb Raider is a hard 15. it gets a little osu mania chord jack-y but it's okay, but it ups the hold management present in 12s and 14s considerably. they probably got someone else to do this and it's a pretty fun chart to play, but the animations for both NSFW and SFW kind of suck, sadly.
BAD END is a much more "regular" 15 with mostly constant 16th streams with chords weaved into them as your main source of difficulty rather than hold note management like tomb raider. hold notes are used more visually than anything else here rather than for their actual mechanics. it's really just 16th streaming and that's cool. i would also call it a 15 with how relentless the streaming can be, but that's great, actually difficult content is great.
GAME MATE is just a 4k chart. it deserves that 16 rating with how dense it is and how hard it is to read with the long notes thrown in there. it's hard. it's pretty good. osu mania

those are my thoughts on the Hell charts. however, not having fleshed-out charts for union and wyrmheart kind of pisses me off because both of those songs are really good, stuck with an 8 and a 6 until whenever. with how hard they went on Tomb Raider, BAD END and GAME MATE, i'm honestly kind of excited to see where the charters can go with these next charts. there's been an increase in quality although i'm not ye olde 4k player who will judge all of these with a trained and masterful eye that gives me the authority to say "this chart is shit" but even then, i think i can judge these charts as a rhythm gamer who gives way too much of a shit about the charting quality of a gay furry porn game.
it's just funny how the low level easy/normal charts were probably done by in-house charters that kinda suck and just sort of threw something together for this porn game while the late hard charts were just done by probably osu mania/quaver/etterna players that charted these songs faithfully and interestingly, despite the big gay furry sex.
though, it is hard to progress in difficulty levels if you aren't already kind of good at 4k games, past a certain point. xurrender will probably wall progression for a while until you play something else like etterna but honestly are you really gonna be grinding beastbeat seriously if you're not an insane rhythm gamer but rather a goon ass gamer that just wants to bust a load out to some furries having sex. probably not and the easy/normal charts will suffice in unlocking the gallery.

i give way too much of a shit holy fuck

Great game, Great CG. This isn't a good game to onehand, don't try it, you'll be disappointed. Two hands on keyboard, rebind the controls in the settings, and experience the CG while playing along to some decent songs. Don't expect a jackoff experience though. You're playing a rythm game that uses a 4 button scheme, unlike other games such as Beatbanger.

Somehow no one has reviewed this yet, so giving my 2 cents as someone that plays a lot of rhythm games and is also into gay furry stuff.

Overall: 3.5/5 with the caveat that this is exactly my kind of game

    ### Porn Rhythm Game
The idea of a porn rhythm game is kind of interesting to me, but a lot of people aren't a fan of gameplay that requires pretty intense visual focus atop their porn (and both hands :p).

The combination pretty much means you can either choose to play the maps to the best of your ability and only sort of peripherally see the animation (and sometimes get frustrated when the animation gets visually complicated and actually makes it harder to play) or you can just accept you're gonna miss some notes and focus on the porn.

If the concept doesn't appeal to you, this game's not gonna do anything for you, but I can see both sides here.

    ### The actual porn

The animations in this game are great. They're a bit exaggerated (probably because you're mostly watching them peripherally), but if gay furry bara is your thing then it's definitely worth checking out.

There's three types of content in this game:
    - Regular game animations, this is the bit you play. Score more points, see more animation. If you have enough at the end you'll see the climax/finish scene. More on this in the rest of the review, but I generally think this content is well done.

    - Gallery (patreon exclusive) - You can select specific stages of the animation from the game here (with music!) and click around to interact with the live2D animation. Pretty cool feature, very much worth supporting them on patreon for this.

    - External "novel" animations with story - These are posted externally on patreon and are not actually included in the game but are worth checking out. These are usually the Live2D animation from the game with some story/dialogue overlaid with some VFX/Moans. Honestly, these are only good because the animations themselves are great, but English is clearly not the author's first language and it could SERIOUSLY do with an editor. I chose a random one and clicked to a random point and the first dialogue I saw was: "Hydrae rolled up his eyes while be fucked, the physiological tears flowed down like a waterfall".

    ### Amount of content

There are currently (as of v0.1.12) 11 songs, each with 3 different difficulties. The most recent track is missing Hell difficulty, but it's expected to be released at some point the future. The songs all feel unique and suit a rhythm game really well imo. I think this is a pretty great amount of content, although as always some animations, songs, and mappings won't be to the players' liking so they won't all be winners.

    ### Difficulty / Mapping

"Difficulty" is a hard thing to pin down in games like this. I've played thousands of hours of other rhythm games, so for me I jumped right into Hell difficulty. The difficulty gap between "normal" and "hell" is insane and honestly feels like it will leave most casual/new players in the dust with not many "in between" maps to ease people into the higher difficulty. Think TTFAF in Guitar Hero 3 versus the rest of the game on this one. The easy difficulty does seem like a nice intro for someone that's new to rhythm games or not great at the genre.

The real reason I mention the difficulty is that parts of the animations are locked behind the hell difficulty. Hell picks up where easy/normal animations end and has a whole new set of animations. Given how large the difficulty gap is, it sucks that most of that content will have to be seen in the gallery or external videos for people who aren't already into rhythm games (and even then, they're complex enough that I can't imagine being able to effortlessly full-combo them while you actively watch the animation unless you are VERY good).

I'd SERIOUSLY recommend adding a "no fail" modifier to the game that allows people to actually see the animation progress on a difficulty without having to play it perfectly. Getting close to the climax scene and failing because of a few misreads is a frustrating level of literal and figurative blue balls. It also lets people get their feet wet on the higher difficulties and play how they want.

How "good" the maps are is super subjective, but my personal take is that they're mostly serviceable and it's pretty unfair to compare them to longer-standing game communities and mappers who have been perfecting their craft for years. There are a few I think are poorly mapped for Hell difficulty (don't want this review to get any longer by ranting about specifics), but on the whole I think they're fine for what they are.

    ### Technical

This game is mostly functional with a few annoying bugs. Just a few bugs I've noticed in my time playing:
    - Audio settings are sometimes ignored for the first second of a track's sample in the song select, so you get deafened by the first beat which is obnoxious.
    - The latest patch (v0.1.12) added a completely unnecessary 60fps cap that cannot be disabled in settings.
    - Judging by the devs comments, the patreon authentication just straight up doesn't work sometimes and requires workarounds or retries.
    - The only resolution choices in game are exclusive fullscreen or windowed in either 1920x1080 or 1280x720, which is mostly fine but kind of limiting
