True I discovered this kind of games about 2 months ago and every time I play some you find the same characters happens the same with the locations and the men is even worse it seems that there are only 5 or 6 that appear in all games 0.jpg

It's not that they're too difficult, it's just that people use the same models and don't opt to edit them any.... Once I get around to the animation part of my game I'll be using pre made models too. I'll be tweaking mine tho, I also plan on using lesser used ones.

Making your own good looking character, with new textures and all, is difficult. Like, "if you have those skills, you won't be making a Patreon incest game" difficult ;)

Tweaking an existing one in DAZ Studio or Poser is very easy. But the thing is, if those tweaks are not drastic enough, you can end up with a very similar looking character. And if you happen to use the same haircut as someone else, the characters can look almost identical.
In terms of price, no it's not expensive. You can visit daz3d.com or renderosity.com and see the prices for yourself.

There are now literally hundreds of models and dozen of different hairstyles to play with for the Daz studio genesis 3 figure... Maybe some same hairstyle used might make some characters look similar when they are in fact different?

what i don't understand is if they are using the same models why they look nice in BigBrother but so lame in intimate relations?

It's easier if you buy daz assets, it is harder if you pirate them. But that is not to say that you didn't buy anything if someone else has the same model.

Also, as mentioned before, models still can look quite alike even if you tweak them up.
Another problem is that if you tweak the face, then some of the expressions will look crappy. That means even more work.

In the current 3dcg game scene, from what I can tell, there is very little incentive to use something unique. You get more money per time spent on the game if you don't. ::|:

That's because rendering is not just about choosing a model and pressing the "render" button.
Lighting is essential and a difficult parameter to control to best effects. Only very good artists manage that...

Well - lets be frank here. The majority of the free sex games dont use more than the basic assets or some of the stuff that has been pirated. Very very few actually use models that have been edited at all. Same goes for the scenes - most use the same scene assets. My latest research into the most popular games of this genre actually showed that more than 90% of those assets where available as torrents etc.

The quality of the graphics is usually tied to how qualified the developer actually is. There are people out there who make high quality content with those assets combined with good game mechanics and overall competence in both fields. But they dont use Patreon or show their games before they have reached a certain standard.

There are unfortunately many people out there who believe just knowing a bit of coding or how to pose in DAZ is enough to make a good game/novel. The people who are really good with DAZ i.e. usually publish art or comics and dont even try to dabble with programming. And then you have coders who use DAZ to fill the gap where they lack competence because its relatively easy to get something graphical into your project.

Really unique games like Summertime Saga or Night Games use their own art for a good reason - to avoid the pitfall of not being unique anymore.

ok, thank you for taking your time to explain things to me, BTW @stoper and @timdonehy200 i was checking your work and its very good maybe you should try your own game
Thanks for liking my renders, I'm still on a learning curve like most artists and yes, I am doing a game (mini-game I should say...) See my blog for updates on that.

when you start creating a 3d girl in daz is obligatory to use one of the premade models or you can create one since the beggining?

You can create your very own model in any kind of 3d software if you wish to do so. You just have to follow some steps that are required to rig and weight paint properly so DAZ can actually pose and place correctly. There is a very cheap package (less than 20 bucks if i recall correctly) on the DAZ shop from them as a tutorial how to do that - it comes with a gingerbread model to learn about rigging etc.

If you dont want to create a full model you can also take one of the base models and change it in a 3d programme to your liking and bring it back to DAZ.

P.S.: If you are a beginner to DAZ and 2d/3d art than it is actually recommended to just use a base model to get the hang of things. DAZ treats a lot of stuff different than standard 3d software. What DAZ calls a morph i.e. would be considered a group of vertices in a 3d software. Cloth has no proper physics in DAZ so you need to create morphs to make them move around or fit properly etc etc

It might also has to do with the resolution of the renders that are included in the game, in Big Brother the images are 1080p. Some games might have lower res than that. And some game may have older models which might be cheaper but have lower poly count and all that, like in General Practitioner.

You could, in theory, create one. Although I don't think you'd make the mesh and textures in Daz. That said, It's much easier to use pre made stuff as Daz in of itself isn't that hard, it just has a learning curve that new users have to get a handle of. Using Daz to edit/pose/animate premade models isn't hard, but creating those models for people to use most likely is.
