For those still having problems with any of Alibi games not saving:
1- right click "System" folder, choose "Properties"
2- remove the check mark next to "Read Only"
3- click "Apply" and choose "Apply changes to subfolders..." then click "ok"
This fixed it for me, hope it works for you

I don't know what the policy is on cross-posting but I have written an extractor for the TAD files in this game. I did attempt to make it so that one could also repackage and essentially modify the game files (potentially making for a decensor mod) but I couldn't get C to play ball when it came to returning the true filesizes of the images (and so it ended up with broken TAD archives).
Of course I could also delve into doing all of that in C# or even Golang, the structure of the TAD files aren't very complicated and as such they make for an excellent entry-level resource into writing extractors and modding utilities.
