How much approximately is the total cost of running this site?
Does the operating cost includes the filehosters being used? Seedboxes too?
Why do some sites ask for donations for operating costs when this site doesn't?

Donations aren't possible at the moment, at least that is the latest information I have.
I don't know if filehoster are include, I think they aren't, with exception of the Direct Download Service they have for donors.
Seedboxes aren't, for sure if you mean rpdl torrents. They are a separate group and not a subgroup of the zone.

Clearly over that. They have 27 servers running, with the load they have to face, they clearly aren't US$ 40/month servers. They aren't over priced either, I'm sure that Sam know perfectly well how to use them correctly, but they cost more.

filehoster are too volatile, it's copyright infringement after all, so I'm pretty sure that they are all based on the free membership options. It would be way too expensive to pay for a membership with the risk to be kicked out at anytime.
