0.9 is greater than 0.10

so guys, i see a lot of developers like to develop their games in time. most likely they won't publish the game when it is done, instead they publish it before complete and monthly basis. and they say "this is version 0.9" then next month they say "this is version 0.10" but the thing is 0.9>0.10 so it makes no sense, right?
so generaly this is not a big problem. but when i look for some good games to play, i find EXAMPLE [0.16] . and i have that game on my computer but its name is EXAMPLE [0.8] so, is it a new version or an old one?
or, for example, there is a game that i have never seen, and its name is EXAMPLE [0.21] . is it a newer game or an older one?
i think there sould be a universal coding for this, to prevent the misunderstanding.
Let's be honest about this.. Most games on that setup never get completed so it's an act of pure enthusiasm for new coders or money sucking for those wannabe "pro" and that essence will not change.
About the numbers though, it's not misconception but is widely used from those western type devs because it's bait..
Would you pay patreon or try the games here if he were to tell you it's a 0,01 version? ... Sneaky right?

Not really a big issue for me but I wish there could be some template used. Either start at 0.01 or 0.1, don't go from one to two decimals and back. That's especially confusing around 0.9 to 1 or 0.10.

After 0.9 comes 1.0
0.9 to 0.10 makes no sense to me :)

Well you must be the only person on earth counting like 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 then.
Everyone says 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 so nobody cares if there is a period or comma infront of it.

What about "0" in front of the comma then? Because another thing is to expect 10 or 1/10th and another 100 or 1/100th.
Just saying..
