I'm on windows 7 and its on the same region and language window changing locale is on, just on a different tab labeled "formats". Might be different if you're on some other version or OS.

Hello, I need some help. I followed the installation guide, but even so, all the dialogue seems to be in "broken" English. There are weird characters in my dialogue, such as "c", "u", "v", and dots. This makes the game really hard to read and I don't know how to fix it. I looked at the official English version of this game on DLsite and it doesn't seem to have these errors, so I think something is wrong. If someone could tell me how to fix this or provide the official English version it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I've only ever been able to fix issues like this by downloading an English version of Wolf RPG Editor and replacing Game.exe with the version from there.

I just beat the pink flower girl. I don't know what to do. They tell me that I need to capture fairies, but how do I do that?

i know how to fix the error with the random characters, all you need to do is change the language of the non-unicode characters (Japanese in this case) in the control panel ill link the article here on how to do it scroll down to the sub title called "Administrative Language Settings on Windows 11" and follow the steps it says to do. This might also work with windows 10, im not sure though.

Anyone knows hot to fix this?

It sounds like you're missing data file/folder
But it is happening with all the games locale emulator is needed. And the actual file it says is missing is in the correct folder.
Maybe the problem is with locale emulator, might reinstall it to see if it fix the problem

Personally I didn't have this problem, but I've got... at least two ideas.
1 - Is the path too long? I believe if a folder path is over something like 260 characters or so then it starts getting fucky. Try moving it up a little bit and see if that fixes it.
2 - Is there any non-unicode text, such as japanese letters or something? That usually gets fucky as well, if not extracted with japanese name encoding (or with your computer locale switched to japan)
Hope one of these helps, but if neither do, sorry about that.

I just tried changing my system locale, didn't work. My game looks like this, you can see the strange letters and dots in the dialogue
Your facing two Problems, not one:
1. Most of those games use chinese/japanese characters in filepaths, which then leads to 00ジェルル.png instead of 00ジェルル.png and tho the file can't be found -> game broken.
2. WolfRPG provides an japanese and an english version, and these c, u, v are commands that fancify the text when read in. I dunno the exact reasons but sometimes translators (tools) break those (maybe theres a version difference for escaping commands...).

Solve Problem 1:
You don't change your system locales, use the following emulation software to do this just for specific executables:
(just put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Locale.Emulator.2.5.0.1\, run LEInstaller and restart your PC)

Solve Problem 2:
falafelswoop notes that the translation works with the english version of the engine, so here is the english executable:
View attachment GameENG.zip
(just put the GameENG.exe into the game, next to Game.exe)

I'm not sure but i think you still have to use japanese locale, so right-click on
GameENG.exe -> Locale Emulator -> Run in Japanese
to start the game.

I hope this helps all those who have trouble get it running.
