You can't level up in this game by defeating enemies, leveling up is based purely on story progression. I don't recall the exact method for the sandworms, but I know that desert has like 2-3 of them and only one of them toward the bottom left I think is used to progress the story. The other two are guaranteed defeats at this point in your skillset.

Might be a bit late but my table did allow switching clothes in any region (Player Luna\Armor. You need to enter menu, save/load or switch regions though and revert sometimes or game crashes when it expects clothes)
There is no XP in this game. The level gets up when you advance in game. You can only cheat your stats individual. (Check link to answer above)
In a short run I could get to lvl4 defeating scorpions/those birds at the place you can see attached.

Ok so I just played again from the start and yes you need lightnight spell to kill the worms that is a fact. But the desert has two maps, the first has two worms that can't be defeated yet. You'll level up and get the lightning spell when you move from the first to second map. This will allow you to defeat the 3rd and final work on the second map or even go back and defeat the previous two worms guarding the chests. you can use the maps in this link to help you find your way around.

Hope that picture finally does explain it else idk. Give it up or search more the web on "How do dummies use cheat engine tables". (Most of the general use-case is already being explained in the "How to use ct tables" link at the start of the post. A video is being included too. The only change here: it's a drop down list and you have still s.t. to do ingame to get the effect.)

same for me, why is everyone trying to be cute. can you just put a save fill or something
full save maybe, honestly I'm not sure if this is the correct file but I try again if not. I know some save don't work with some versions and will give you all the replays but no voice sound
