URGENT NEWS: Please Read! Important News: Monster Addict will be returning to comic format. Reasons: For some time now, I have been unhappy with the way my Patreon has changed since developing MA the comic into a game. I've been stressed with the quantity vs. the quality of the game, wanting to perfect something yet not wanting to keep you, my cherished supporters, waiting. I love dabbling in game development and would like to pursue it on my own time, without the worry of quantity and content vs. quality and fun. While learning how to code, optimize, and troubleshoot the demos for the game, productivity has suffered dramatically and the amount of content that has been produced in relation to the amount of time it has taken to produce is not acceptable. So, I will be returning to a medium that I am already fluent in so I can up the amount of content put out, shorten the amount of time it takes to create content, as well as free up time to develop my animation skills, which is what I truly enjoy most! Cons: The last game demo will be the last interactive version of the story. Those who are mainly involved in my Patreon for the video game version of the world may not feel that it is worth sticking around to see where the storylines that began in the demos develop in the comic continuation, and I totally understand that. I will be making large changes to the Tier Rewards to further fit in with the new content that I will be releasing monthly. I will be posting more information relating to the changes in Tiers soon.
Pros: More content will be released along with improvements to current rewards, such as changing the "doodle polls" to "animation polls", where the winner will be featured in a colored loop animation that will be completed by the end of each month. Storylines and characters that have been teased in the demos will make appearances in the comic, as well as be further explored through fun little monthly "behind the scenes" doodles (SFW and NSFW).
The Monster Addict comic will continue where it left off and be in color. I will be posting 1-2 pages a month, depending on the complexity of the situation/scenes. I will be able to take on up to 3 non-Patreon related commissions a month. I will be able to pursue game development on my own time and without stress. TLDR: The game is dead, the comic has been revived. More info coming soon about Tier changes. (Like, within the next 24 hours) I apologize to anyone who is upset by this decision, it was a very hard one to make. Thank you to everyone who supports the MA story, I hope that you will stick around to see the comic continue! -Jak
