i extracted it and i can't open the game or read the read me document, any ideas to why?
edit: when I downloaded it I used nopy. uploadhaven's part 3+'s links were broke

Sorry, bad news. As i wrote, this "AIO" package is a one-way release. No upgrade path without removing all mods as I described in my guide. I would advice using CMI (Com Modular Installer) but that needs an updated Base Game - and this borks this release, as long as you did not the clean-up steps as I wrote in my guide. Even then there will remain a lot of Japanese dlc, which makes it a "mess" in my eyes. That was the reason I discouraged from using that release.
Even I like to help I will not further support a version that I not even use nor that I can recommend.
Bite the Bullet, and use the better release package here...
This is the better choice, upgradable and fully supported by the release team.

This might sound annoying but please tell me how heavy the game is after extracting all 7 parts. The compressed total was already more than 30 gb and that scared me.
I am not sure, if you take the variant from this page, it needs 40GB uncomressed. This variant is STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED! It is not even possible to clean it up, as japanese & english elements are mixed up) read the last 2 pages then you know why and get the link to a better version.
In any case , if you plan to play whichever version of com3d2, you need a lot of space! A clean english version without mods but including all dlc comes to around 55GB, the japanese version is even more with around 90GB & all are strongly growing as there all allways published new dlc....
So the complete repack is the best one to download? to get uncensored, mods, etc?

Okay, I have CM3D2 now ( NOT COM3D2!) and I'm a little confused on what, on the first page, is actually Mods for this game, and which ones are Mods for COM.
Can anyone clarify for me what it is I should be downloading for CM3D2, not COM3D2, specifically for uncensor, and extra characters (the community made duplicates of game/anime characters specifically).

Where are we talking about ?
I mean, what do you have ? Is it from the summer release ? Is it a Vanilla version, as that is your best bet.
I made a guide, that was aimed to the Custom Maid Ultimate Version , but it should work with any vanilla version.
vanilla is important because it is updateable & the best base to be modded. All you need in first instance is the LMMI. You will find the link in my guide here
I would take nothing from the paste on the start page because the stuff is hopeless outdated...

That was two laptops ago, and I was thinking of giving this game another try.
I have managed to get the Japanese version of the 2020 Edition down fine, and at the bare minimum I would like English Patch, Uncensor, and additional positions as extra. Though, I'm partially assuming that additional positions is part of the 2020 Edition update, or whatever you call it.

I've downloaded the Meidos Modular Toolbox, but whenever I try and open anything, all I'm getting are text files.

I dont get it.... the toolbox is an exe file, doubleclick and it runs
the link in my guide goes to the download page, were you have to go to releases, choose the newest release & then download it. it is a zip file that contains the exe..... maybe you downloaded the source code files ?

Yeah, I've got it now.
All that's left is figuring out how to integrate the mods into the game on a linux platform.
I can get the base game working, and I remember doing something for COM3D2 quite some time back, but I can't recall what it was.
