A "problem" isn't needed for alternative options to be healthy. But since you asked: DRM. Also Steam is under siege and porngames aren't their primary revenue-stream, so they might decide to throw the fun-police a bone by sacrificing porn on the altar of political correctness.

Or to put it real simple: Multiple distributors means a single vendor cannot kill the product.
"Censoring X for imaginary virtue-points is the problem, not censoring Y for imaginary virtue-points"

Go away, commie.
A problem is capitalism tend to create monopolies. No one can compete against Steam, so there will be no alternative.

I don't know about that, at least in my case, Steam used to be #1 but IMO GOG is actually a better option as a storefront due to the no DRM, offline installers (so you actually own the game), and they have a 30 day refund policy regardless of play-time. I always buy from GOG over Steam if a game is available in both places.

Most likely it will be cracked in an hour. No denuvo, so all that needed is to brake game from steam.
Sounds good to me. I will keep an eye on this thread and on the Crackwatch subreddit today. Would be nice to fire this up tonight if it becomes available by chance.

GOG is nice, but it has little market share, and it wouldnt gain much without new aaa games.

I think GOG's biggest problem is because of its pro-consumer no-DRM policy, publishers who are heavily into anti consumer DRM at times avoid it for that reason, so you're right in terms of the market share. I'll always use it over Steam when possible though for the offline installers. A key reason people pirate games is because they want to actually own them and not be dependent on services that host the content.

Halfpint will also be streaming it over on Picarto when its up, so if you want to just watch and see if you'd like it, can tune in there when he goes live:
