Same goes with the emptie (or partially, but since boiling t° is reached quick in closed area, its quite better to use empty bottles. In case, using a polished bottom part of a bottle could be the best way to handle that. Providing there is some sun then, its a matter of time (wait some mn for the light to gather and make the twig burn, of course, polishing rely on stone and minerals, knowing they have quite a way to go (that island is quite small after all). its been 3 days since the plane wreck and anyone out in the open ocean without a life raft would probably be dead by now. Shark attack alone would finish off most survivors. but this is a game so anything is possible.
