How do you do console commands? Messed around with the files already, I mean activating them

any renpy game folder -> renpy -> common -> 00console.whatever -> edit line under "blah blah enable console something something" from False to True -> open game -> press shift + o

I tried that, I click the switch between kitty and rogue button twice but no menu pops up, it just switches between their stats quickly. I also tried clicking on her stats twice and that didnt work either. Am I just really dumb? what the hell am I doing wrong?

No idea why nobody tells you, but to get the Cheat Menu working u need to install the "Mod" at first.
After that u get a second "Switch" next to the normal "Rogue/Kitty Switch", once u click it, a menu opens, where u have several options for cheating stats, clothing, facial emotions and so on.

it says Version 0.972c to 0.976a but for me it works fine with 0.977b

There probably won't be the full experience, but he did say that he added some stuff if I recall correctly.

He is working on this game all alone. In addition, the code for this game is huge. This is not very noticeable to the players, but it size is around 3 or 4 medium games.

He is making 44k a year off his patreon alone I think he can afford some extra people to help out with coding and art. I have no experience with coding but is there a reason why there's so much of it? Once he has the framework adding new characters shouldn't be that difficult right?
It's just frustrating because Oni has made a surprisingly replayable, fun porn game and it's being updated at a snails pace.

I wouldn't be surprised if he abandons the Ren'Py engine later and remake the game in Unity or something.

While I'm against all this trash talk of Oni's work, I don't see how this game should have coding as big as 3/4 different games.

I mean, sure the interactive sex scenes require a lot of checks during basically every decision, but a function for each is easy work. Besides that I don't see anything that requires more coding than usual.
