loving this game so far, but i cannot find a way to subvert rubi. even when sacking norma and theyre in the same room together. do i have to get the ambergris for her first? very confused. any help is appreciated!

Note:
Every character you talk to will have their name added to your notebook. This will allow you to read about them for tips on what to do next, but more importantly, it will tell you where they are throughout the day, meaning much less hunting around the map trying to find people. Just be aware that it doesn't change in response to game events. For example, there is a portion of the game where Olivia Osbourne's normal location will change - Her schedule will still show her normal locations, even though she can't be found in those places at that time.
Related to the above - don't bother trying every dialogue option the first time you meet a person. Just use the "Introduce yourself" or "Chat" options and leave everything else alone. This will make the story a lot more sensible, since you won't be trying to remember what Lara Jewel was talking about way back in earlier of the guide, an hour later when you're actually doing her quests. It also reduces the chances of quest lines interfering with each other and causing bugs.

Just started a new job so my time is a little limited right now. i'll take a look when i have some time though (haven't actually played this one yet
)

There's no real grinding in this game, it's just a linear series of experiences. The only barrier to content is finding out how to solve the puzzles. So I don't see why a mod is necessary.

I've reached 10 points but have not yet received the message to go in my house for the portrait...
Help if anyone knows how to edit this problem. Apparently I gave Angela the big bag of pastry to early. Now I can't get into the old book section. The bar will not allow me to buy anymore, which is new from the last version I have played. So I am now stuck uable to move forward on Vanessa or Rubi. Also seem to have an issue with the party, however, think it may resolve itself. I completed it but chose not to do the game and now my log says i need to finish the party, my bad moved up, cant take Amberson to the party now (might be a day issue). I don't think this is going to be a long term problem Older versions you could do the entire party multiple times.

Ran into an issue where the fight at the bar will continue to loop. No matter what I choose, the bum at the bar will continues to loop back into itself. Not sure what the issue is but you can't get away from it, even if you reload your save.

my bad boy level is at 40 but i can't learn drinking.
Presume its the same as all the others, go home go into house right click on MC an select learn?
I presume this is why I can'y give Ann the joint, she makes em smoke it first and i cough it up.
any Ideas? I can load the debug menu in RAGS but can't see what I would change to enable drinking.
Edit: I figured it out but presume this is a bug. I hadn't altered anything in the debug screen before so didn't mess it up that way. Not sure how i created the bug. The only thin i can think is that after i hit level 40 I carried on playing for a few days and didn't go home to learn. Although I ' don't think i got a trigger telling me to go home.
anyway onto the fix. the issue was the execution log was stating this when entering my home:
Execution log states: condition new BB level failed
So i exited my home changed the following variable
New Skill = True
Entered my home again and the learn option was now there.
Presume its the same as all the others, go home go into house right click on MC an select learn?
I presume this is why I can'y give Ann the joint, she makes em smoke it first and i cough it up.

I got the vodka to give to the librarian, then as soon as I came out of the bar a thug asked me to show it him. I lied and ran away, he caught me beat me up and it put me back in my house at the start of the next day. I then clicked continue as normal but it took me back to three options I had with the thug and I got stuck in a loop.
Hadn't saved for a while so I think that's me done. This game wasn't engaging enough for me, too much randomness to what you have to do. (and bugs)

running latest version and that bug about the guy trying to mug you after you exit the bar is still there, it doesn't go away.
also I can not get past bad boy level 48, did everything on walkthrough and then some. no idea what to do next to get burgarly
