I had that problem too with this mod but had no problem with the un-modded game so I figure that the problem is with the mod somehow.
Oh ok. I wasn't actually pointing fault at your mod but rather asking a way to either debug/modify the mod/game. This is probably the wrong place to be asking though, but how to setup a development environment for your mod or the game? Is there a thread somewhere detailing something like that?

FYI if you have the console enabled you can overcome that error by typing in the following. I just tried it myself (wanted to bone a mermaid :heartcoveredeyes

That fishing error does not appear only when you go fishing with the special lure. I just fired up an older save (started in this game version, just saved before I got the lure) and got the same error.
Looks like we're gonna have to wait for the Game Dev to fix the issue.

Unsure about the fancy lure (I need to find it too). The golden lure seems to work for all fishes though.
You got to time the golden lure right to catch that Tiger fish thing. Try hitting its face.
BTW if you hit Esc before the lure goes all the way down you can reset the game without having to lose time or go through the dialogues again. Unsure if this is a bug or a feature, but I had to use that a lot (my timing sucks)

I'm confused. There are many "script" files. I dunno which exactly I have to rename.
In the original game, inside game directory there is scripts.rpa (notice the S in scripts).
In the mod game directory, there is a scripts directory. And inside it there are multiples script files : script.rpy, script.rpy.bak and script.rpyc.
When I read the Original post, it says to rename the script.rpa to script.rpa.back in order to allow the mod to be applied. Problem is, I can't find any script.rpa. I can only find scripts.rpa in the original's game. Is it the file I need to modify ?
When I read ikarumod's readme, it says to place the "script" directory into original game's directory. Once again, I can't find script alone, but scriptS.
So... Yeah, I'm really confused. If I understand correctly, I'm supposed to see the mod in the game title. I tried to rename everyfile and I can't find any modification in the game. It's absolutely possible I didn't do it right. Are you supposed to read "mod" in the game title or something ?

The script thing is a typo. Its scripts.
1. Rename the existing scripts.rpa file to scripts.rpa.bak
2. Copy the mod's scripts folder to the `game` folder.

You can use this to avoid typing the code yourself and avoid the bug with the fishing minigame.
Path: game\scripts\pier\fishing_minigame\
