Fair warning thought don't go new location at eavning before meeting principalls family otherwise gane will stuck on loop.

I just started playing this, so far it looks like a great game. But I've got one question: How does the gas potion work?

What location?

The game usually tells you if you can use a gas potion, given you have at least one. It's used in very specific situations though.
Two I remember is on School's Monday morning assembly after the principal and Nicole are corrupted to a certain degree, and in the Sunday mass at the church after Maria is in her third tier of corruption (blue hair).

I've found a typo/bug. When you corrupt the nun enough (120) she starts taking of her clothes. When she says "So, what are you waiting for?" it says Emily instead of her name.

how can I corrupt the principal? It just says I have to have a reason to bother her in her office.

First you have to corrupt Ms. Simpson, afterwards when you go to Ms. Simpson you ask her to go with you to the principal and then you get the job. Afterwards you can feed the principal your potions.

Before that, you need to use the computer in the main character's room to find out the school is hiring part-timers.
