Polls are useful in some situations, like getting new ideas or helping decide what to implement FIRST, but not to decide how the story should progress.

That can't be true. Surgeons usualy wear surgical magnifying glasses, he should be more than able to see your weenie with those.

Not going to deal with Character traits. However the issues with how they shift as well as the 'Polls' changing the story, and what people see as inconsistent go to something that has been mentioned here A LOT. DS is not comfortable with or seems to have issues regarding the Incest aspect of the game.
I think some small changes in the game could make the story and character shifts run more smoothly/enjoyably (let us buy little gifts for the women, let us swim, have the Ladies be the focus of the Camera NOT Max, etc).
One issue that seems to show up in Games/VNs is the balance between storylines. The creator reaches a certain point where they have to focus on one path to provide a 'acceptable' amount of content, or try to balance progression for all. The problem is that people (including me) want a significant expansion in at least one part of the story each update. Don't really have a solution to that balance vs large increase problem, but thought I'd throw it into the mix.
Edit: hate to mention this cause I KNOW there will be problems. The Erik line was a HORRIBLE example of this. DS set up a path, and doing so blocked off ALL others. That wouldn't have been an issue if there had been ways to close that path. Sadly it took to long for the game to let those who wanted to escape/avoid that line to be given a way out. If the game had given a Clear/ more obvious escape route then Maybe the issues with that path wouldn't be so polarizing.

Arg.. was just going to leave my last post and hide but my brain wouldn't stop...
thought I should add that a better (though flawed example of balance was the last update. DS gave progression to multiple lines last time. We got the movie (to quick for most of us), sleeping with Alice, joining Mom/Ann in bed, and the intro to going out of the house.
The going out was probably the poorest part, would have been nice to have more variety to the shopping. Also the dates could have been handled a LOT better. Yep, we met a new character, but should have been at most a pic or 2 where Max notices her and tells Lisa she is more beautiful or something then left Vicky alone for later. Could have had 2-3 'Dates where Max and Lisa just talk a bit (maybe music/movie/play/amusement park) and left expansion of that till later. Could then do an 'Off-Camera' event where they go to a show/concert/whatever next update and talk a bit about it next update. At the same time could add Lisa 'missing' the fun she and Max were NOT having and maybe start that back up. During that time we could be given an alternate (optional) path that involves Vicky.
Just felt I should share what I feel was a better example of balance after pointing out the poor Focus.

I hope that we get a continuation of "watch tv with mom." It might happen considering the one preview lol. And maybe an option to take Ann out on a date, to a restaurant. Show her that Max IS the man of the house, to get that love/lust going.

Hmm, well we could discuss the houses décor. Personally I think that some flowers would brighten up the Lounge area. Also the whole black and white is a bit boring, needs some color, that might bring some life to the place (maybe a different pattern on the couch?).
Oh, and what if someone takes up Gardening for a hobby. Some well tended shrubs around the pool could add a nice accent to the boring wall.
Now I REALLY need to hide.

Hmm, keeping/using the outfits from shopping would be nice, but difficult with the number of outfits presented. I would like to see something like a random-ish event where Max receives a 'Fashion Show' with benefits at home sometime. Would probably require a limited number of outfits bought, and maybe specific combinations. Say you buy a REALY hot dress one week, and next get hot hot HOT Lingerie, could have nice show with strip and maybe more, using that combination.

Not really. You assume that she knows Max's mind so knows everything is a ploy to get in her pants. She is a teenage girl with little real world experience, so she can easily end up following her emotions instead of her brain. At that age, chances are her emotions say, "Max loves me, he is my brother so he won't hurt me" and so on and so on. That is part of her charm, her innocence, and her curious nature about everything. Can't just assume the characters know about the main characters every desire just because you can read all his thoughts.
