Searched the thread via search engine without finding a solution:
Right at the beginning, second day, I searched and found the key for the locked drawer at the side of the bed with the laptop in it, BUT the game treats me as if I hadn't found it, it keeps telling me to search for the key, although I already collected it. Any help, please? And sorry for asking, I am sure this is not too hard, but I don't get it.

Did you install the both x64 and x86 ? Which OS are you running on ? Try to disable your Anti-virus and try again.Also make sure your Windows is up to date.

Can't you install Visual C++ 2015? If no, pls uninstall all newer version of Visual C++ on you PC and install this one:

Day 3, shopping with Juliana... it says I should wait outside. I go outside and nothing happens? Hit the hint key and says I should go to park, but nothing happens? Is it possible I'm missing something, or is someone else experiencing the same thing? Can't go to any location except home, check all the rooms and no scenes. Please help!

when you go outside will the map show up? If yes, pls use "Last Choice" and go back until you can spy on Nika in the shower and try again. Also check the map if there is a "Back" button on the right corner..
I had the same problem yesterday and somehow I fixed by doing this things .. I don't know why, but I consider this "bug" as a hickup in Windows..
Can you explain a bit more, you had to look for the key, you found it, then unlocked the laptop, and then this happens?
Do what cold_arctus said and use your mouse, don't use spacebar for dialogues.
Seriously, if its just a white screen its due to missing DLL's thats why the 2015 redist 32bit(x86 version) is needed as linked in OP. if that doesnt help something may be screwed with your game version. Several people with white screen issue has had it solved by installing that, and there are other games on this forum that also requires the same redist package to be installed. You can also reboot your computer after the update on the microsoft patch, that may be of assistance.
If you are using windows 7 you may also need to install some sp1 updates, this has been thoroughly tested on windows 10
Most people have this redist installed because of other games on steam that deals with it automatically.

First Download and install QuickSFV(google it)
Then put this sfv file

into your game folder and run it.It will check your game files.Then post the result
