The sancho mod rewrite entirely the script of the dev.
So when you are using it, you are effectively erasing the dev's update and using the outdated files of the mod instead.
That works just has intended.

I pirated it this time for the first time (i cant use SS) and was a patreon in the past (only in release months tbh), it doesnt change anything about how "valid" my opinion is but it seems important to you and other posters here so im pointing it out ...

Im very glad that i didnt paid anything for the new update, it was just not enough and which was there was in my opinion bad and not needed. I think it would have been a way better decision to develop it more balanced and give most of the players at least something they are interrested in, the prior update wasnt amazing either.

When/If Captain reads these opinions hes free to take them however he want, alter his approach or not, its all his decision and his avn but getting your panties wet whenever someone states something negative makes you look really lame.

So far it was mostly not even the dumb dumb "dev bad milker guys", i - for example - would never think the dev does it like that because of money. He just made decisions he thought are the best approach to develop his avn but people are free to state if they are displeased with that.

Since this used to be one of my favourite games I'll vent a bit.

There hasn't been a good update since episode 5. Everything since then has taken very long time, for very little worthwile content. Which is very sad. It feels like the dev knew this was a popular game and wanted to prolong it's life as much as possible and bogs down in story-heavy paths that consumes a lot of time with very little payoff. A lot of teases and promises, but ultimately very little payoff. All while focusing on reworking the whole thing instead of just wrapping it up. Which also feels weird, rather than finishing this game up satisfactory and move on to the next project and starting with better quality renders in that instead, he strings every pledger along to fund the rework of this one game at the cost of the very same games development.

It's really a shame, he used to be quick and produce some of the best scenes I've ever read, so was really hoping he'd have great success... But it really just feels like an unbearable slog to go through everything post episode 5 while he focuses on reworking. It's maybe similar to Walking Dead season 1 up untill he releases episode 5, and then everything from episode 6 is just like Walking Dead season 2. Time consuming.

As many people have pointed out, it's a risk with having many paths that the time it takes to develop increases exponentially. But I really don't think that's ever been the core issue, but rather the reworking effort.

To be fair, the rough situation with patreon all-around probably didn't make it easier either.
Really hope he can find back to his old style and deliver a nice finish to all the remaining paths and then move on to a new project... because the quality is really there in his work imo, it's just been held back by the rework effort for a very long while.
And since we know he's produced very high quality content earlier I think we'd all be happy if he can find his way to finish this one up and work on a new project rather than being a one-off developer. I'm emotionally invested in his work since he's still made some of the best scenes I've ever played. It's easy to just pile on with all negativity, but hopefully this might be somewhat constructive at least.

Hopefully my words are motivational rather than taken too harshly, the reason I write is obviously since I'm invested in his work due to the quality it used to have. I really wish the dev success and it would be a loss to all of us if he doesn't find his way back to that level of releases he used to have.

I disagree. I don't think there is a set definition, but for me a porn game is one where fucking is the main focus and people would play it for a quick fap and nothing else. Not a fan of those. Then there are those where the focus is story/character development etc. These may or may not contain adult scenes. But I don't call them porn games.

Since v0.5, I've produced about 130 000 words of new content with about 3500 images.
This represent about 40% of the entire game.
In the meantime, I reworked about 18 000 words of content with about 480 images.
So I've produced way more new content than reworked old one. The new content is still my focus.

Of course, it's difficult to see that in the context of a branching story if you don't play every paths.

It's really a shame, he used to be quick and produce some of the best scenes I've ever read, so was really hoping he'd have great success... It's easy to be quick when you work 16 hours a day, seven days a week on your project. I did it and it brought me to thinking about suicide.
And rather than killing myself, I've decided to go back to a more bearable 8 hours of work per day, seven days a week. On top of a day job.
Honestly, I rather stay alive.

The truth is no one can really know what I'm going through. I don't talk about it openly. Therefore you can only try to guess what is going on.
And by the way, I've received nothing but praise from the people who play the game for what it is. Especially for the ending of the Psychotic Knight path.
If you play it for the porn, obviously, you will be disappointed. If you play it only for one path, you will be disappointed. I always knew it would be like that. There is nothing I can do about it and I'm not going to change my game in order to please anyone.
