My Brain just packed it's Suitcase and left for good. Looking at this Mesh Grabber Program on the DAZ Page... it seems way to complicated for my old Brain.
Maybe I find some Videos about it?
Well for now, I guess, it's just better for me to stick to simple Poses and Morphs - LOL
Oh if you think your brain took a trip with meshgrabber. Ya should start messing around with Dforce.. Your brain won't even send you a post card. :)

In addition to all the advice you've already got, it's worth mentioning that like with the rest of tools in Daz, you'll find additional and useful settings under the Tool settings pane when Mesh grabber is your selected tool.

Also, I find the threads dedicated to the different products on the Daz forums a good resource for further information on the product. Mesh Grabber's is . :)

Can you make good rendors in Daz with the free base program or has everyone been having to buy certain packages?
From a techical point of view, sure, you can. But you'll surely want to grow your library with figures and other assets. The vast majority of these are not actually free. But you can get many of them without spending a penny in sites like this one and others.

here is a quick video on how to use it You just select mesh grabber from the tools dropdown menu. Make sure you select the item you want to before selecting mesh grabbber. Then you can grab the mesh and then just hold left mouse button and select it and with the arrows you can move it any direction
Okay so in this clip I see the "Orb" Thingy from Mash Grabber over the Hair, I get that too, but how the heck does it magically happen that these "yellow Lines" appear on the Hair, I don't see anything moving in that Video?! If I try that I drag the whole Orb around and the Hair is just deforming at one tiny Spot and looks awful.
Maybe I need to look at some more Information's/Tutorials.

You need to select a larger portion of hair and move it in one go. If you just select one spot like you said it will just move that one face. For me I found mesh grabber rather annoying to use and started using zbrush instead. I'd recommend that program as a whole over mesh grabber but that's just me. If you do want some more information about zbrush drop me a message and I can help you out.

Here's an example of some breast grabbing I done in zbrush.

Ok sorry that is a bit of my mistake it didn't grab my mouse cursor in the recording. But when you select the mesh grabber you can hold left click and just move it over the area. And you see the yellow lines appear and what turns yellow is a selected mesh
and then you can select the arrows and move the selected meshes

Okay Guys... hold your Horses please! I'm a 58 Year old Guy that started with DAZ in December last Year - and solo as a Hobby because I found my Favorite Game Character as a DAZ Model (Because the Dev was so kind to provide all the Infos what he used for the Game) and that was it, more or less.
Then I found this Forum here and seen couple of interesting looking Sections - also about other Games (VNs) and started looking into these other Games - then started making these Models (or found Infos on about what might have been used by other Devs Games - again just for fun - I made them and render it to maybe share them Here in there Forums) - I just found this section last week.
So please understand that I'm in no way firm in terminology or add-ons for DAZ - I'm like a one Year old in a Library - "ohhhhh so much things!" ;)

I really appreciate your Feedback and Advice - but some is just like looking at the Chinese written Language for me. LOL

Again, I'm so glad you're trying to help me out to get better results and get better in DAZ 3D - but I need it in layman's terms on a little spoon fed to me - ROFL

And please!! Don't take this Comment in any way offensive to any of you here - I'm German and sometime there is a kind of a Language Barrier - plus the Fact that I'm 58 and my Schoolyears are a wile back where I learned English - LOL :ROFLMAO:

Thanks again - that was it - It worked now - HAH! Yeeha!

Lighting and Angle experiment! Feedback welocme. (Lighting: Sun Sky + 1 ghostlight from top-behind angled downwards) View attachment 3474605
You have a good start but reference can help you out a lot. I would suggest looking at photos from stasyq who are a professional modeling studio that does a lot of really great natural and soft lighting photos that you can use to guide your lighting.

Diagram.png

The biggest problem with the render is light direction and lack of contrast.

Use the sun to backlight your figure and create a silhouette. Block any other windows in the scene that aren't the ones in the back of the render using a cube primitive and setting the base color to black.

The ghost light should only be used to slightly fill in shadows and help prevent extra noise. Assuming it's either a plane or disk, increase the size to around 150-200 and keep the light closer to the bed and figure so that you aren't lighting the entire room with it.

Look for some fabric shaders to apply to your bed so it doesn't look like it's plastic and reflective. Increase the diffuse roughness on bright white surfaces or darken the base color to help with clipping.

Lastly I would add some depth of field and maybe hide the background and replace it with an image of a sky or you could use a high contrast hdri to replace the sun and get a nice sky for the background.

Yep, that part with "larger Portion" I didn't even know how to do - for me it was - click om Mash Grabber, click on Hair Part and drag the Gizmo around. Awful result following - LOL
And now there is another Tool I don't know and have to look up?! zbrush?! Dang it, and here I thought it was easy to make some simple renderings about some Characters I made - Jesus Christ... :p
