This^ i'm laughting my ass of with all the comments of "stole badik models" uh... you guys know badik yoinked those models too right? they aren't original in the slightest Lol maybe you should all goto the bakdik forum and cry about how he "stole" the model too

I agree with your point BUT there is a thing known as "Versatility" whether it is used in anything, this is what elevates the game to a whole new level. I know this might be DEV's 1st VN(don't know for sure) but at least expand on story, don't through it in face and work on dialogue's, these kinda things become obvious WHEN YOU ATLEAST READ YOUR STORY!

i honestly haven't play this one yet so no clue how well the story is. if i read complaints about story etc fine but like 10 pages of all complaints about the models only which is dumb becuase 99.999999% of ALL devs are using store bought/free models, its a really dumb compaint of "oh you stole this model from "x" game" when thats not the case they just bought the same models like every other dev.

If you can link me to a game with actual unique models I'd be impressed as all hell, hell we barely even get unique backgrounds (I've seen the same school/collage used in like 200 different games, same cafe etc)

i read up to the post i originally quoted (around page 5/6) and a few pages after that don;t recall seeing your posts or maybe i seen one but didn't register around all the other "complaints" but my point still stands 90% of all the complaints about models, thats not going to help, there is nothing wrong with using store bought asest especially models, i don't think people realize how hard it actually is to create one from scratch... its not an easy task at all and would be to time consuming for a random porn game.

To be fair, some of those complaints are completely wrong. There's (hopefully) no assets stolen, but, I am neither their creator, nor anyone tasked with finding it out. So, I'll assume (until proof is provided) that the assets were properly licensed, therefore, this Dev has as much right to use them as anyone else.

But, many commenters also point out that the assets don't look like that OOB, so, there's some (obvious) work done to make them look as they do in their respective more famous games. That, didn't agree with many. The assets are one thing, their sliders copy is another entirely. IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME. Yet, I can understand where and why people felt strongly about it. This action is equated with Plagiarizing.

As I referred before, that isn't WHY I am very critical of this project.

The completely unforgivable comes from both the Story and the Writing, especially in the form of very cringe dialogues and GLARING plot-Craters (not holes no, Craters). The author simply has no clue what a story is, what is character development, what is pace, what is consistency, what is.... anything related to story crafting. Things happen with no rime or reason, dialogues so cringy that your teeth hurt, scenes with no consequence or sequence.

It is very BAD.

I have no way of knowing if the dev actually acquired the license's for the model from the store, but that would be a completely different topic as the complaints are about stealing "Bdik" models which is just false on so many levels. doesn't matter if the dev of badik heavily modified the models (which they didn't) they still wouldn't own the rights to said models thats my issue with all those posters. their under some assumption that the devs models are unquie (they aren't you can literally find a post that links to all the models) and that he some hows owns them (he doesn't)

now your complaints are actual valid criticism i have no problem with Lol I'm not here to defend the dev, just spreading information about store assets, your criticism is exactly what i was looking for when i first came into this thread, i like to read the first few pages to see if a game is worth downloading or not, but all the false infomation in the first 5+ pages is not helpful at all and tells me nothing about the game just tells me people are dumb/misinformed

But thanks for letting me know about the current state of the story/script, i'll put this on hold to see if it improves.

Ye gods, I don't really care about what models are used, as long as they look good, but the story telling and the dialouge is absolutely awful, made it through the first day of school and lost all interest in this vn and deleted it.

First of all, I wish good luck to the dev as always.

Now about the models used in this game, yeah, most of us know them from other VN (love you DrPinkCake <3), but it's really difficult to find a model that hasn't been used before.

Most of devs have no idea about 3d modeling, which includes me, so we get these models from different sources, I'll use "Jill" as an example:

Hair may differ, but the rest of her body looks mostly the same in all VN she appears.

I don't care if a model is used in 4723984782 different novels, as long as the story is good, I'll read it.

I'm sure all devs would like to use their own models, but it's not something you learn in a few days, apart from being a hell lot of work.

Stolen insofar as that nothing was changed on the model. They just took the 'greatest hits' from obviously well known VNs already on the market and did a 1:1 model render. I mean... come on, at least change the hair or something. Shows a lack of ingenuity or self expression of any kind. Doesn't give much hope for the rest of the project if that's how they do their models. Either it's a 1:1 rip of a custom edit from the other VN, or a straight asset rip of a prebuilt one and both instances don't look good.

As other have brought up they've already got an abandoned project after only 2 updates or something like that. 0.1.1. So the low bar is already set.

see pretty much all the models from baddik I already seen many times without much changes before that game even existed should i be in that baddik thread crying how he stole all his models from the games i saw them in before? No of course not and i would get flak for even attempting to do so, so why is it ok to do it in a less popular devs threads? double standards much? like we get the models have been used in 1000s of other games get over it. talk about the important stuff like how crappy or good the script is.

If people acted like this in his other thread no wonder he abandoned it, i wouldn't want to put with your guys BS either.

REMEMBER devs don't have to post anything here or give you anything. so be grateful they do, if you don't like thats fine say your peace and move on. (unless the dev is being a dick then troll all you want LOL)

Yeah, don't get me wrong I'm of the same mind where I'd rather read a cohesive script that's interesting so models take a backseat in what draws me to a VN in the long term. I think, or hope, the main issue others are having is just the track record with their other VN so people are more hard on the dev for not having any self expression at first glance.

Which is why I used the term 'greatest hits'. Can't really deny they pulled that in at least a small veiled attempt to draw eyes to the project (they're good looking models after all) but show a little gusto and change them up a tad. Put your personal touch on it. That personally would show me the dev was at least trying this time around and wasn't gonna wastebin the project after 2 updates again.

Mainly because it's not true. The models are from the Daz store. There isn't 1 single original model in any of the games mentioned here, they all come from the store.
