This game so far has been interesting to play, it's a shame how things ended up.

Agreed, it had alot potential to be something amazing. But now it's a husk of it's former self. The only way i can see this getting another shot is if the Echo Devs take over.

If you want more of a horror angle similar to this, I'd say look into Echos, Arches, The Smoke room. Made by the Echo team. surprisingly the used to be partners with bane before the game ended up in this sorry state.

There is also Burrows which carries this horror-esque theme of it as well.

There used to be a cool guy in the patreon comment section that described the exact changes made, and it was usually just a rewording that made the content worse, but was sufficient to make the patch notes not technically incorrect, because it doesn't explicitly say that "+<name> Night <number>" means a new night. Marking this project as abandoned would help reduce exposure to this trap.

If you say that there is actual progress being made, then I challenge you to compare the current version of the game with one from 2020 and tell us how many nights and illustrations were actually added.

I played Helle til night 7 in I think 2019, and I remember hearing about that day 10 around the same time, though never played that far into that route.

last decompiled and reported the changes, we can assume that every update is simply changing some words around in existing content to barely qualify as an update.

I would call that a fake update, because its goal is to keep patrons thinking that their money will eventually result in an improved product, even if no progress is actually being made.

Only time i have an interest in M/M content is if you get to choose if the MC will be top or bottom.
I prefer being top.
Also the artwork plays a role which is what initially peaked my curiosity.

Youre wrong though and you failed to point out any progress that has been made in the last 3 years. 7 Years, a dozen "routes" with none of them being finished and no new scenes for over 3 years. People think SummerTime Saga is scamming patreons. This mofo has been doing it even longerwith less to show for it.

The development of this game is so fucked that this Dev is rewriting multiple sections for MONTHS AND CHARGING HIS PATREONS TWICE PER MONTH FOR THE PRIVELEGE.

There are quite a few projects within in the furry fandom that have been severely irresponsible with their communications and developments.

-Bare Backstreets with Jasonafex
-Blackgate
-When Stars fall
-ALL of the Dynewulf's Cursedmarked Projects
- And even Azulookami's many MANY projects, with the only exception being Game Over. (For now)

For every 3-5 Straight porn games that get finished. There will always be 1-3 Furry Gay Porn games that get blue balled and forgotten.

Blackgate has technically been considered dead ever since Darkgem stopped making art or ads for it. and last I checked, Bane has made not made any significant announcement since the last visual update. And it's not like Blackgate was in a good position either. The story routes are vague with who you get paired up with, and get outrageously complicated and incohesive with whatever the main plot is, all of which has been getting re-written.

Yes, the dev is releasing new versions, but The dev is NOT releasing new contents.
He's just stalling, making a somewhat believable changelog to deceive people like you, and charge patreon TWICE every month.
The dev abandoned making the game, but didn't abandon keeping the money milking machine running.

Cloud Meadow is also using similar techniques, I assume you will also say "anyone claim Cloud Meadow a Scam is silly"?

BTW, in case you don't know, BlackGate is like a Pioneer in this genre and Inspired tons of dev / games. And with top quality before it got abandoned.
