Sorry, but that choice of pawning off Rena to Liam is clearly a change in the story's narrative after players/patrons clamored for Liam to find a love interest. Pink stated flat out that Liam wasn't getting any of MC's women originally. Now he's got boner pills and a covetous, blue haired thot.

Authorial integrity only lasts until the author sees an idea they like.
Maybe that was the single idea DrPink took in and changed in his original plan, I mean it's not at all a bad idea, Liam too needs some love, otherwise his story would be utterly depressing.

after a day's rest playing the vn/game i read the post here and came to a conclution about the cliffhanger

both girls wil survive the fire but there wil be no more love from both of them for the mc
this is why i think that
first: the girl you recued first wil resent you for leaving her best freind to die in the fire
second: the girl that got recued second wil resent you for leaving her behind to die in the fire
they wil be very messed up about this for a long time and very angry with you (what is very logic)
they are together long than with you (they have the same kind of love as you with liam)
thirth: both girl wil choose to go together to L.A and leave you behind to rot in your burned out house (without any girl to love )

After saying that you can't get over her, you follow it up with saying that the past should not tie you both into making future decisions. Ana seemed really hurt by this but somehow accepted that there's no way of getting back together with you. Then she left the room in silence. This dialogue made me feel sorry for her. In my conclusion, it's better to not fuck her... resulting final end of your relationship (it ends no matter what you choose) is a lot more depressing. Also in my opinion, doing hate sex to a woman no matter what she did a big NO to me. Leaving a woman in tears no matter the reason will make me feel like an asshole. So yeah, I rather wish Ana well than leave her sobbing after a hate sex.
I'm very certain Ana will return in the next two episodes if you choose to give her a chance,i dont know if it will be a simple quickie or a love interest but im interested to find out.

What's the point of my athletic trait if not to carry two girls out a burning building? Feeling alittle betrayed here.

Sorry if I left your comment out of these quotes. I just got through reading the last 12 pages of the thread since playing the game last night and started clicking the QUOTE button because I had a response in mind, then changed my response like 15 times while clicking QUOTE on messages that interested me, but oh well, here we are....

My first reaction to this update is that the ending went from drama (good!) to melodrama (not good!). Then I saw that @Burt Reynolds Mustache commented on this exact point already, more adroitly than I can, which is why he makes the big bucks as a writer I presume :).

Then I was thinking, okay, the last few updates have ended in "cliffhangers" only to find that the next update clearly showed there was no cliff nor hang. Others above have explained more eloquently than I can how using "fake" cliffhangers multiple times in a row has cheapened the game. So, look, if you are at all worried that one of the ladies might not survive, you just haven't been paying attention. I'm pretty sure by the 7th click of the next update you'll find that both are healthy (but I imagine the one you didn't choose to save might realize it... which sounds like cheap melodrama rather than actual quality drama, as others have mentioned). But's it's kinda sad that one of the most intriguing dramatic plots has turned into a second-rate soap opera.

My main interest though is the extent to which people don't want to play an adult visual novel that forces them to confront difficult, challenging, adult feelings. I should mention up front that my own life was turned upside down at the age of 12 when my 10-year-old brother was diagnosed with cancer. I vividly remember him vomiting for hours on end every week after chemo, which went on for over a year. He got better. Then he had a relapse when he was 16 and the treatments were even more severe. But he beat it, and now he's healthy and doing well. I'm only mentioning this to say that I completely understand anyone quitting this game because they would rather not confront those kinds of feelings when playing a porn game. Those scenes with Liam and his friend triggered some harsh memories for me. If anyone quits this game because they just would rather not be confronted with characters they love battling cancer, you have my complete sympathy and understanding.

But for me, it's cathartic. This is going to sound pretty lame maybe, but the MC is having conversations and bonding experiences with Liam that I wish I could have with my brother. I mean, we weren't exactly helping get the other laid at 12 years old haha, but as someone who has loved a brother with cancer and still loves and cherishes a brother who beat it, I have valued how this game has fleshed out this party of the story. This is powerful, quality story-writing.

Also, it's interesting that so many of the angry comments are about what MIGHT happen rather than what has actually happened. If anyone wants to quit the game because his girlfriend/wife/significant other cheated on him and this story brings those issues up, that make sense too! Oddly, I haven't seen many people comment that they don't want to continue with the game because Ana cheated on him, which I can only assume is a much more common real-life experience than "I am in love with two girls who have agreed to love me back, but I have to choose which girl to save!!!" (commence eye rolling)

TL;DR The dev has used melodramatic cliff-hangers before, so the girls will be fine, but melodrama might be spoiling one of the better adult visual novels I've ever played... I'll keep giving it a chance, because the dev has shown he has the skills to redeem himself.
I think some people have completely missed the point why others are turned off.

It's not a case of oh no, drama has happened and now my feelings are involved whatever shall I do. It's a case of oh no drama has happened, oh no some more drama has happened, oh look more drama, oh yet more drama, oh joy more drama, ohhhhkay now bored of drama.
This two posts pretty much summarize it all; nobody is complaining because there is drama in this story (we already had drama with Liam's disease and Melissa getting abused) but because drama is taking over the whole story; this game is starting to look like a demonstration of Murphy's law (if something can go wrong it will go wrong) and I think it's too much.

Ah okay, thanks for that, then I won't go that route, that's not a thing of mine either, it's better to get the closure and leave head high and with whatever dignity is left, than become a total douche. I think she already felt sorry for herself when you bid her farewell at the house when she tried to blackmail you to give in, unless of course those were just crocodile tears, haha.
The way I see it, she really loves the MC. Her way of trying to get affection from him was just twisted... which led to the mess that started the whole story. If she just said to the MC she craves more affection and intense fucking from him... he'd be more than happy to give it. How could you say no to a hot woman craving for your fucking 24/7? Their personalities are not compatible but it could've been easily resolved by open communication.

Open and honest communication, which equals mutual respect. I actually loved how MC just walked out the door when he caught her cheating, not giving her the satisfaction getting the reaction out of him she so wanted and craved, he made the right choice, not only because she wasn't worth it anymore, but because in anger and when hurt you can say and do things you don't mean. It's just too bad MC never went back sooner to get that closure he so needed, and still apparently needs. (That makes me wonder, why the hell is he still thinking about her? He just had sex with Melissa and told her he loves her and then in his head he sees Ana, the fuck? Haha, guess he still ain't over her.)

She chose to play shitty games and emotionally abuse the MC instead of communicating her desires in a healthy and adult fashion. That's not just a red flag, that's an instant abort mission. It indicates a total lack of empathy and emotional maturity and pretty much rules her out as a viable life partner. There's no coming back from that level of disrespect and selfishness.

Many of you forget or didnt payed enough attention to the dialogue,Ana says our MC was emotionally dead, devoid of passion something that can be confirmed just by looking the way he just left from the house like a wimp. Was Ana's solution the correct one? Hell no! but he certainly had it coming, women crave love, passion, affection and as the saying goes "its not difficult to conquer a woman but it's difficult to keep her in line"

@

I agree with you completely.

However, a game like this, lacks choices when you compare it to real life. You compare it with life, cause it can be shit too. I agree with that. But 2 choices are offered, where in real life you can have 10 or more. So basically you make a linear game, end with a cliff hanger, and expect people to like it. Or want to play the next update. Everyone plays this game, with a favorite character. If something bad happens to her, they get mad. If you get to choose between 2 main characters, you get mad. And rightfully so, cause I dont want 2 choices, but more. I hope you get my point. Cliff hangers are cool, but please end with some kind of hope or direction.

I play these kind of games cause of the girls, models, story. And this game does that really well. That being said, it has to be positive. I cba to play a game, no matter how well written, where everyone dies at the end. It leaves me feeling empty and mad. If I want that, il go outside, see all the ugly people working their asses of.

In the end, you get your way, cause people end up talking about this great game ;) And I appreciate that you read it, understand it and maybe implement it.

You seem to understand the game a little better than some... I suggest ppl replay and read with intent the story and dialogues or maybe I... we will see.
