In my very humble non biased opinion, ChatGPT does a better job overall. Specifically it makes less mistakes and provides a more understandable translation.

Actually the goal of this was just to test if ChatGPT could do better than Sugoi could.

Would be interested in Kutsujoku series if anyone an make an integrated machine translation like this one. Especially 1st game as it's best IMO. I had read through them with other MTL means but getting integrated/better translated version is always a plus

Here you go(The last save is the scene). It only crashed at this scene, everything else was fine. Ofc I can't say something about the 2 followup scenes. And I run it on Windows 11. Maybe the problem is somehow related to that?

I'm on W11 but we'll see. I'll take a look.

Found the issue, apparently using <3 crashes the game lol.

Here is the fix, just extract to the game folder and replace the existing dat.

If enough people like this one, I eventually will. Time isn't really the issue its cost. This game was about $60 in API cost due to the script being so god damn big. That's how it's going to be for the other games so unless someone pays for the translation costs I'm just going to pick and choose which ones I want to translate for now.

Yeah the menu isn't translated because the dialogue is the only thing unencrypted currently. I used

and it only extracts the dialogue. Better than nothing for now.

But here's a cool tip for yall, Microsoft has thing thing called

and one of the tools it gives you is an OCR for your screen called Text Extractor so that you can scan text. Specifically Japanese text can be added here

So using this, you can scan the text on the screen and then paste it in a translator. Good for menus and pictures you can't read.
