I can tell. This place can be harsh sometimes and many users on this sites can make some hot takes for a reason(Like myself included, I'm NGL). It "weird" seeing someone like gifdoozer here and "should" be heated knowing what people does with his stuff within this threads. But he doing the complete opposite of every other creators and the interaction he get here is mostly positives. Weird how that works right? I wish I can support gifdoozer on good merit but I can't pass my limit on how much I'm spending per month.

Ik, its freaking awesome, man! But still, its kinda 'weird' seein the artist here when this place kinda 'messes up with their stuff'
its pretty simple you cant avoid piracy, it still gets more eyes on your work, therefor results in more people who are fans of your work and more people who might end up supporting you for making an absolute banger. Theres lots of people who come to F95 to check out what artists have to offer and then afterwards decide who they want to support. like lets say youd have 50 bucks to spare each month you probably want to make sure you give it to the people you think deserve it the most/who make art that you like the most.
of course it also comes with a flipside of some people who may have paid upfront to see the work now not needing to do so but things never are truly black and white. I think its a smart decision to embrace it rather than to resent it
(maybe it would help some artists tho if people wouldnt grab stuff from F95 and then literally upload it to the main R34 forums)

I mean, spreading your content builds fanbase and among those some percentage of people will throw money at you simply because they like your work or just as an artist.

Well, i mean :3 I post on twitter mostly, and substar and patreon are for whoever wants to donate. i mean, i mostly make a living out of donations from people on those two sites and i couldn't be more gratefull :3 I'm more than aware of f95 and i agree with whoever said above that you can't avoid piracy. FFS every single person has at some point pirated a song, a movie, videogame... As a creator and ocasional pirate i totally understand how piracy is and I support it. I encourage anyone to do it. i mean, don't a lot of places like museums and stuff work due to donations? and for example, Videogames. there's not demos annymore and open betas are quite rare, so how would you know if that game is worth your 70 bucks (jesus christ... yeah we're at that point) pirate it, give it a go and like many cracked games installers say. "If you like the game buy it" if you didn't liked it... hey you just saved 70 bucks :3
Same gopes for my stuff =^.^=
Whoever wants to donate is welcome to do so
Those who can't afford to donate at least have piracy to enjoy my content since i don't make it for the money but for the fun i have making it
and for those who simply don't want to donate for whatever reasons they have...
well i got a quote for those <3

I love you all guys.
The damn R34 community ripped me out of depression's grasp back in the day, and all the love and support i still recieve can't be compensated in any way.
So yeah, just keep on ripping <3

There artists like Gifdoozer that I have the most respect for.... and then their paywall artists within the opposite side of the spectrum:

"Normal" artist jobs are extremely competitive, and going freelance is the only way for a lot of artists
To me this sentence sums up this entire rant.

Translating:

I'm bad at 3d, or new to it, and / or want to learn, but industry don't want beginner level of artist, they want pros that can produce results within a day, but I can't do that, so I will sell my NSFW renders of Genesis characters, that I didn't modelled, but modified some textures wrapped some face of popular character using someone else IP and do some keys for hips movements call it a day, and charge X amount for it, and if people don't pay for it because they don't have a boner from my stuff, I will blame piracy for my downfall.

I can go further and say that 3d basically killed photography. Does anyone looks at printed magazines with naked chicks any more (do they still exists)? Did You know that Ikea moved away, many years ago, from photography for theirs catalogues sets to 3D (archviz). What about those people jobs (stuff that had to assembly set, photographers). They did evolved and moved to 3D and with their huge experience they did applied that knowledge to different medium (3D programs) and still create photos of those sets, but now they are not photographers but archviz artists.

Other angle to look at it is passion for the craft. Don't do 3D (especially NSFW) if You don't have passion for the craft. You will burn up quickly and produce mediocre results and then You will complain that piracy is causing my inability to sustain, financially, self. If You can't sit, at least 8h/day, in front of a display doing whatever You want to do (this do apply to most IT related jobs) than that work line is not for You.

Try to reach out to those pirates and ask them, a) did You got aroused b) did You kept (archived) my work or deleted it immediately after watching c) what You liked / disliked about work (surprisingly people will give a huge response and share their thoughts and suggestions that is invaluable for artists)

Evolution is normal process and nowadays it is accelerated by progress of computerization. Blaming piracy for lack of income is short sighted and misleading. There are many people that will not pay for something digital and this will not change regardless if this is available for free or not.

And here is some additional read about piracy and its harm for sale:

Gifdoozer Just out of curiouse, and I know this is a lot to ask, will You be ever sharing Yours blender tutorials to the public ?
Maybe at some point. Been thinking about it. like. honestly i wish i could make them for free like youtube or similar (yeah like i can post this on youtube) and monetise in some other way so it'll be free knowledge for everyone to help the R34 community to grow. you know, like ad revenue from youtube. but the income from the student tier is quite a big chunk of my income nowadays and i can't get rid of it so far. maybe at some point when i can mak4e a living without the student tier i would fdo it. because honestly i would love to share with everyone
