Sooo has Baal made any progress?

Last weekly report was in march.

The "going long stretches without updating" thing isn't all that unusual for the patreon. I don't really use discord, so I can't comment on baal's activity or habits on that end. I know work streams were a thing at one point, so I guess that might be the best indicator of if there's anything odd going on. Based on how long the last release gap was between this and superpowered was I wasn't really expecting another release before late May or June anyway.

baal's one of the hardest workers out there, but his time is split between two games so it's definitely not ideal if you only care about one of the games. his dev cycles were ~2 months a piece from what i remember. i haven't checked into the discord myself in a minute, but that last thing i remember that he was working on was a lot of jay content and a lot of 5*(sex scenes for regressed ATs) stuff. he usually adds a lot of improvements to the gui and other things under the engine for a smoother experience.

conceptually the 5* stuff is fine, but i think practically it's not a great idea. you backtrack just to see the scenes and currently there's no real incentives besides that. a lot of the earlier ATs aren't as fleshed out as the new ones either.

I updated the cheat mod for the newest game version (at the time of writing, Loser_v0.10.01_PC64x, it *should* work for future versions until the dev changes something fundamental)

Press C to open it in-game. Num1 to jump to page 1, Num2 for page 2. Shortcuts can be edited in config.

I tweaked some things from the original mod for better use according to my personal preferences:

Ok I am annoyed by the fact I can not find out why this isn't working for me I have scrolled through every comment trying to see if there is a fix for this problem. It seems like it was fixed for someone else who had the exact same issue. But I don't know how it was done. The problem I am having is that its not opening the menu when I press C. Not only that based on what you say you added CTRL does nothing, which means the whole mod doesn't work and I don't know why. Is it something with my computer or something with Unity or the version which is 00.10.02 now or what is going on?

I have tried downloading a fresh BepInEx file I've tried downloading older verions replacing the cheatmode file in the plugins with the new version. I have NO clue what is wrong here can you please help me?

I don't need to badmouth his reputation. He's been doing that just fine all on his own since before he even had a Patreon and was just a guy making a game on Hypnopics for fun.

And if you're going to blindly defend a dev without even knowing their history or how many people he's pissed off and bridges he's burned over the years, then that says more about you than anything else.

I don't care about his game's mechanics, I care that he puts out shoddy work and milks his supporters beyond belief, on top of generally being an unpleasant individual to interact with.

Convincing a hairdryer it sucks and blows, at the same time.
Doesn't pan out well for us in most all cases.
As entertaining as it can be, there's several genuine to case and point.

Can Be Helpful in assisting without biased input, all judgment aside.

The computer I am using now may be newer but there isn't anything much different other than the CPU and GPU. I thought maybe its just not downloading to the desktop because apparently microsoft needs more money so they make the desktop an app instead of a window and proceed to limit the space in the desktop app which is always on so they can charge you $8 a month for more space on the DESKTOP DESPITE THE FACT YOUR HARD DRIVE HAS 250 GB OF FREE SPACE AND YOU ONLY NEED 3 GB FOR A GAME! But thats a completely different issue.

Anyway, so I made sure to tell the computer to keep everything related to the game on the device and it still doesn't work.

Yes and yes and it doesn't work I am extremely confused because there has to be a reason for it to not work that I can fix. I have had it work on my old computer before with older versions. Yeah, it sounds like you are using a janky version of windows as the desktop is a place where you put stuff and it should not be an app.

I have no ideal what's going on with your computer so my best advice is to take your computer to a shop and have them check it over.

I know it is suppose to be a file, and it still is...... technically.... Its a cloud file now. So basically Microsoft took a look at Ubisoft and said wow lets to that but be more evil by limiting how much space your desktop can hold to 5 GB even though you have 500 GB of storage on your actual device. So now if you want to download a game to your desktop you have to purchase our Microsoft 365 service and they will give you a full TB of cloud storage. OH YOU WANT TO KEEP ALL YOUR FILES ON THE DEVICE AND DON'T WANT OUR SERVICE? Well sure you can do that but you'd have to download all the files from desktop to your actual PC device which already has about 25% of the space being used to keep your system running. Also if you do that then whenever we do updates where we install new codes to fix minor bugs that almost no one ever comes across and make sure you can keep connected to the internet then you wont have enough space and your system might stop working properly. What? Replace old files with new ones and delete the old files that are no longer valid? Who do you think we are, Apple?

Of course we can't do that because then we might as well sell licenses to people to fix your computer when you need it fixed and if you go to a place who isn't licensed then your computer will not work properly. Not because it wasnt fixed but because it wasn't fixed by someone we authorized to fix it. We aren't like that you can take it to anyone and we are also cheaper.

So instead of being able to just click on a file on the desktop you just have to click the folder in your taskbar then click on my PC and find your files there in the mess we created just to give you a desktop file that works like an app.

In conclusion, its not a janky version of windows its a brand new computer prebuilt by HP. Microsoft decided to offer a cloud storage service that no one really wanted or was using so they force people buying new super cheap computers to pay for their Micrsoft 365 service to let you have more space. The only reason I got it the service was because I saw the benefits of having the service and was like. "I am still very angry they decided to force this on me. But I get access to things that will be super useful and I can transfer files from this PC to my next one when I upgrade without a flash drive so."

No shop will fix that problem and besides all I need to do is just tell the computer what files I want to keep on the device. Which I did because I thought maybe it has something to do with cloud storage needing to download assets from the cloud to the desktop in order make the file work. So when that didn't work I got very confused because I have basically exhausted all possible reasons the mod might not work. And I was hoping someone could get me an idea.

OK, I know nothing about cloud computing, I don't care for it and I don't use it.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess you are using one drive? if so, look on the bottom right of your screen (where the clock is) and find one drive. Right click on it and find the close option then try and unzip the game to your desktop and try to see if the cheat mod is working for you now.

The reason why I want you to close one drive is to stop it backing up your file to the cloud. I'm guessing when you unzip the game it gets sent to the cloud and you run the game from there instead of from your computer's hard disk/drive.

If you are not using one drive then I'm really out of ideas.

I also prefer loser to superpowered.

I think porn games should ideally have their gameplay and narrative focused on actually trying to interact with and influence characters that ultimately you can do pornographic things with. Every other part of the game should be in support of that.

The whole superhero plotline and combat system, as well as the superpowers that were primarily there to support the combat, were really just distractions and wasted effort, imo.

Loser is much closer to the that ideal for a porn game, imo.

Also, and this is more of a personal preference, I am not really that into mind control and other non-consensual type stuff, and that plays a large role in the superpowered games.
