It seems like you got a quite "special" error there...

What I tested:
linux (via nwjs) -> game starts without error
linux (via wine) -> game starts without error
windows 7 VM with german local -> game starts without error
windows 7 VM with german local and mtool -> game starts without error
windows 7 VM with japanese local -> the error appears
windows 7 VM with japanese local and mtool -> game starts without error
windows 7 VM with japanese local (second run) -> game starts without error Oo

Even after I deleted the game and extracted it again the error didn't appear again...

The error is thrown from pixi-spine.js at the point where the avatar is drawn/animated.
Which is called via PictureSpine.js and the data it wants to provide is in the www/img/spines/ folder.

But I basically don't know why it doesn't work for you (if it is persistent after the first run).
I can only guess that it is either a problem with the folders in spines or the content of the json files in those folders.

The solution I found because the same thing happens to me is to put it in compatibility windows 7 put all your pc with Japanese regional language and start the game, you know that it stays for a few seconds with a black screen when minimize the game appears and leave it as 30 seconds with the black screen, then you hit the game screen again in the frame and it should load fine, it seems silly, but it was fixed that way and it works without a problem
