Hey, has anyone else been having trouble hooking games with this? I just downloaded it, and it looks like files are missing or something that stops it from hooking the game properly? Something modification of loaders? The Error messages go by so quickly I can't capture them with a screen shot or read through them. I didn't see any virus notification or anything when I unzipped the tool.

I'd really appreciate it if there was a way to lock or set the parameter of an actor to a certain value like locking HP/MP values.

Like a lock checkbox right next to the PlusVal options.

Good day, I’ve encountered an issue with translating a game similar to Cuckold New Wife Monica ~Tsundere Wife’s H Work and Battle Princess Lacia and the Fallen Fortress. There’s an executable file (.exe) that initially launches the Japanese version of the game and then switches to English during the game loading process. However, when using mtool, this transition doesn’t occur, and the game remains in Japanese. If I run the .exe without mtool, the game starts in English. Could you please advise me on how to resolve this problem?

If locking is required, then the locking here should not be done in the way you expect.
Thing is, for the game I am playing, it uses a parameter on the actor to keep track of something similar to TP. But locking TP from the main tab does not lock this parameter. So I was wondering if I can lock it in some way, it works similarly to a HP or MP bar in RPG games.

I'm trying to use MTool to manually translate a RPG Developer Bakin game using the generated ManualTransFile. There seems to be an issue with injecting a translation if the Japanese string is too many characters in length?
I attached two examples from notepad++, if the Japanese appears in blue then the English text will inject properly. If the Japanese appears in white text then the English won't inject. The only factor seems to be the length of the original string, 33 full size Japanese characters is the limit, if there are only English characters the limit is 99 characters.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or knows a fix for this? MTool seems to be the only tool or method for translating in Bakin at this point so it would be nice if there was a solution available.

how to use it on wolfrpg game
Open the tool, select the .exe file of the wolf RPG game
1715711962161.png ,
click on Start Game (You might have to turn off your anti-virus since it might give a false positive and stop the game from launching), don't use inject to running game since it does not support wolf rpg at the moment.

After that you can switch back to the mtool window whenever you want to change something.
One more thing, for whatever reason after you inject with mtool and make a save file, the same save file is no longer found when you open the game without mtool (However saves from before you injected with mtool is still there when you inject with mtool and open the game unless you overwrite that save slot). Not sure why, but opening the game again with mtool will recover your save file. It's like using mtool generates an entirely new instance of the wolf rpg game you're playing.

hello people, please tell me how to translate the game via mtool this game wolf rpg
https://f95zone.to/threads/dragon-princess-is-hungry-v1-01-tashikani.166919/page-16
All games posted in F95zone (aside from those in the request forums) are translated. I don't see why you'll want to translate it seperately with mtool.. but anyways:
Open the tool, select the .exe file of the wolf RPG game
View attachment 3634112 ,
click on Start Game (You might have to turn off your anti-virus since it might give a false positive and stop the game from launching), don't use inject to running game since it does not support wolf rpg at the moment.

After that you can switch back to the mtool window whenever you want to change something.

Not sure why, but opening the game again with mtool will recover your save file. It's like using mtool generates an entirely new instance of the wolf rpg game you're playing.
After you follow these steps and go to the mtool window, you can see that it will now have a translate tab alongside other tabs for the wolf-rpg game, select the translation tab, and the translation engine you want, and then hit translate and it should translate it for you. You do not need to close or refresh the game afterwards the translation data will load immediately once it's done translating (which barely takes a minute or two).
