Ok that will be difficult since I don't really buy anything from him, except the lvl up...
main factor is whether you fought with cats in armor or not, before this fight you can basically recruit anyone, except elma as she can be saved only after this fight
You put it directly in the root folder. There's no save folder. IF you want to make sure, just start a new game and save and you'll see the new save file.
how do u beat behemoth? the only way I can hurt him is by throwing dung at him and evading until he powers up and then i die instantly
You're probably too low level. If you went east (from holy forest) first, you are definitely too low level. "Intended" route is to go north first.
Behemoth Ranch is a great place to level up but agreed North you should go to at least till the town
