Why don't devs create a wordpress membership site for suscriptions?

So i was wondering Is there any deeper reasons why game developers don't setup a wordpress sites with membership plugin for their games?

That's like asking why don't fast food restaurants open in the desert. It's hard to attract business and pick of curious consumers already in the area for similar products. It's also difficult to market and to build trust with a simple standalone website when consumers could have a third-party entity which has already built that trust. Also, though I haven't looked lately, almost all the membership plug-ins I remember for Wordpress from several years ago either required Paypal or a similar service or the entity had to have their own merchant account. Either way, they'd still be dealing with usage policies for credit cards dealing with content guidelines.

That's just for starters.

I think the main reason is that Patreon acts like a "shield" of sorts for creators, it's not just an easier way to collect donations etc.

For example, when you sub to someone on Patreon with Paypal, your payment goes directly to Patreon. This way the developer is protected in the sense that their paypal address is kept hidden. They're also protected from some of the stuff people can do with Paypal such as disputing payments etc.

The devs that do have sites have pretty cool sites though, best example I can think of is l1lym with X-Change Life who .

edit; On the topic of WordPress, can be self hosted and is orientated more towards this niche. It also avoids many of WP's pitfalls, such as the PHP dependancy & security in general. WP powers something crazy like 35% of the internet, people are always finding vulnerabilities. I'm not saying WP is shit, it definitely isn't, it gets more vulnerabilities for the same reason most virus's are built for Windows - because nearly everyone uses it.

So i have a stupid question, For example lets say a dev posts the latest arts of game model in the member only site or forum depending on the plugins, And send the links of game via mail or private message to all the paid members. Does that break any rules?

No and yes, the difference is wordpress.com and wordpress.org

Wordpress technology is an open source CMS and website builder. But its also a hosting platform that can do all of the hosting logistics for you.

What you are allowed to host on your website is more about who hosts it and where its hosted. So you'd need to find a porn-friendly host to host your website, and then set up wordpress & plugins on that host once you have an account to begin building your website.

Then, like implied by Count Morado above, depending of the payment processor you can use with this plug-in, you're fucked deep in the ass.
Most of them have clauses forbidding you to use their service for any kind of adult content. It pass for Patreon, and some other sites, because they have an agreement with the said payment processors. But as individual, you'll just be banned by this payment processor, loosing all the money possibly in the account at that time, and with no possibility to make them change their mind, nor possibilities to open another account other than, perhaps, opening another real life bank account.
Plus, not all those payment processors are available everywhere in the world, and as individual having to supports many different ones is one more burden on your shoulders.
And, finally, if you life in a more or less modern country, platform like Patreon generally take care of the taxes for you. Not that they pay it, but they do the math, and you know exactly what sums you've to declare.

In the end, Devs don't do it because devs aren't totally crazy.

I don’t think so, cause many already do this with itch.io
In fact I’m pretty sure there are developers here that already do it with itch.io
(Patreon/subscribestar to itch)
