That's not really the fundamental problem.
The real problem is 3DCG Rendering is abused like no tomorrow in "Western Adult Games".
Most japanese games work simply by Sprites + Background CG, and you can use that in hundreds of scenes.
Only special scenes like dramatic scenes or the sex scenes themselves get their scenes drawn as Unique CGs.
If developers wanted to write the full script of the game with all the plot they should be able to do that in reasonable time if they aren't impeded every step of the way by Rendering Every Little Thing, Novels are written just fine even by new writers, we do not expect them to be masters.
Drafts exist for a reason, you are supposed to get an idea on what you want to do with your plot, your characters and certain scenes and events, you then throw that away and rewrite it better that is more condensed, more impactful and with a better pacing and intrigue to maintain reader interest.
That how VNs were "supposed" to be made as a finished complete work that is "released" and then sold.
With 3DCG and the Patreon model significantly twisted what was supposed to be "normal" into the Abomination we have today.
And You absolutely Are an Abomination.
The Truth is even with the Patreon model, even if you wanted to have a ton of 3DCG in your game you have no excuse.
There is nothing stopping you for writing the Full Script Right Now, I can promise you the 6 months you use "for the next update" is better spent doing just that. And when you do eventually Render them they would be much more impactful as you will cut all the cruft and mundanity and implement what the scene really Needs.
