The only 100% stories I really enjoyed are ones like Mist, Eternum etc.
As for a specific Genre, nothing makes me blast batter like NTR.

And do you prefer following the story like a book, or having to make choices that can matter?

Honestly really depends, a lot of games that give you a "choice" really don't, because everyone is gonna meta game and just pick all the choices that gives them all the girls in one run. Now games designed with very distinct split paths that happen early on are nice and I do enjoy those.

Reading walls of text is harder than any repetitive grind for me.
I play adult games mostly for sex scenes and hot dialogs. For me adult games are a substitute for porn.
I dont care about someone's boring background and I'm not in the mood for solving puzzles when I launch adult game.

Dont get me wrong, I like to read a good story, but in a book, when I want to relax. I've read a ton of isekai novels with thousands of chapters with zero adult content. And they were great, because I was in the mood to read a story.

I hate the illusion of choice. If I decide to kill someone in a videogame, I want that to either negatively impact my character or give me a better reward than the 'good choice' would've given me. That's why I love Dishonored: if you decide to kill more people, the number of guards and weepers you face in later missions increases, and you end up getting a bad ending. But if you decide to sneak around and don't kill anyone, more options will open up to you, and the characters you interact with will react more positively to you, and you will end up getting a good ending.

I'll keep that in mind! :p

I gave a quick response, but to give a longer answer to this...

I like playing Japanese hentai novels, things like Kuroinu, Lilith games and the Toriko series by Guilty, so this is where my thoughts come from.

I like a game to "get to the point." We all know why we are here. I don't mind a nice thought out world or situation. That's what makes games fun and entertaining. But a lot of time you either spend long stretches reading text, getting to know characters or trying to establish the world (especailly for sci-fi or fantasy settings) and it will be hours until you get to a choice. And then that choice pretty much just decides the whole game or fixes you on a pretty linear storyline.

I would like to see more games give players choices in the early going, some could be consequential, some could just be to give you a chance to interact with the world. And give players the chance to get back to a path they want to instead of funneling the player down your predetermined route. I know that's a tall ask, but I feel like there could be a hentai game that can give that type of fun interactivity.

And sex scenes, more choices means more sex scenes. :devilish:

Personally for me I usually prefer 2dcg games with a combination incest, corruption, multiple penetration(don't know why it just isn't labeled gangbang) and some other tags. prefer the male protagonist role thou lately I have found that most of newer better games are usually female protagonist lead. I do still enjoy 3d games but they usually have to hit my preferred tags and deliver on them. Also like trainer or management games just they are so rare I usually don't even look for them.

For me adult games is about characters, because there is no characters in porn. Sometimes devs spend too much time on establishing the world which is pointless without characters. Most of the time I skip texts in games (because most of the time they are badly written) untill I find a good one, and then I play it thoroughly. I don't care much about fetishes, but I do have some preferences, obviously.

It's just - the main thing is the characters. If there is no characters I don't care about the world, the kinks, even the art quality. Some of the games made me love some kinks - that's how I care about the characters

Touching games and it's not even close. I don't care for the extra-pervy loli abuse or the graphic ryona, but any game where you directly perform the sex things on your preferred sex object is worth a try.

In the past I've enjoyed adult games that allow the player to skip or toggle off NSFW/porn aspects, for example games like Corruption of Champions or Trials in Tainted Space where you can click through sex scenes or simply choose not to sex a character, or even games like Breeding Season/Cloud Meadow where you can enable or disable animations, certain fetishes, etc. if you want to just focus on grinding and gameplay for a while. And vice versa, you could also skip through dialogue to get right to the erotic scenes and unlock a gallery to view the erotic animations and whatnot if you just wanted to see the porn and not bother with digging through gameplay for it.

It's a lot of work on the development end as far as I know, but I think it's worth it and gives your players the chance to customize their experience with the game and decide for themselves if they want more of a porn focus or more of a story/gameplay focus, which can change from session to session for some players when they're in different moods.

But does this really constitute as 'giving choice?'
To me it looks like the game is luring you into specific route with various positive benefits, while also offering an obviously worse route just because.. So is there really a choice here?:coffee:
